Hi I know everyone goes on about which is their favourite fim, but which harry potter film do you think is the worst so far and why? Mine has got to be the third, i was disappointed in this film because: 1. They have a new Dumbledore - he just does not fit the character in the book 2. The scenery changes - since when was there a wooden bridge and hagrids cabin down the side of a mountain - ruins the continuity completely!! 3. Far too much is missed out - ok, this happens with them all, but the third book is my fave book and not that thick really 4. The kids have grown up too fast - this shouldn't happen til after book 4, when things really get scary 5. The whomping willow - i'm sorry, but that is not a very big scary tree at all and has been relocated down a mountain side too! I could go on, but i'm wandering what you all think? Which is your least favourite film and why, what do you think of my comments on the third?

I agree that the third is the worst of the bunch. I do not think this is reall a surprize however, as I considered that the worst of the books as well. Not enough plot and usual great things that we expect in the Harry Potter series. cheers,

Completely agree - more than any other Harry Potter book, i think the end of the third book has the most suspense and they completely ruined it in the film - they rushed it soooo quickly there was no time for the suspense to build up and all the twists to come about!

The third film is actually my favorite of all of them. I will say that I was extremely disappointed when I first saw it, because I am an avid fan of the third book. It's the BEST novel of them all, and they left out a ton of stuff. Having said that though, I liked the third film the best because I thought it had unique camera angles and my favorite characters in it: Lupin and Sirius. I would have to say my least favorite movie of the series is the second movie, Chamber of Secrets. I think it's just too corny. The only part I really enjoyed was the scene of the Duel Club with Lockhart and Snape. Lockhart is an absolute ingenius character, but the movie fell flat for me. It was just a little too childish or something. All in all, I'd order my favorite movies in this order: 3, 1, 4, 2. I can't wait until the fifth movie comes out! The fifth book is my second favorite, so I hope they don't butcher it!

It'd be interested to see how they do the fifth book - it's quite a bit different to the fourth book. I really hope they don't butcher the battle at the end of the book - it's a very crucial bit for the rest of the series Hmm, i have to admit that the second film is a bit childish and the ending is so corny it makes me cringe, with all the kids running and hugging Hagrid etc!! I do love the second film though, simply because out of all the films i think it was the best in bringing alive the magical world. I though the third film made too many changes that went completely against my view of Hogwarts!

I actually quite liked the first 3 films. It is the fourth film that I absolutely hate. They butchered the story so badly I wanted to leave halfway. Plots and subplots were scattered to the four winds..So many stupid/unnecessary/untrue details like 1) Since when did Snape physically hit students? 2)Dancing lessons?! 3)DD-mutated hippie on steroids with anger management problems 4)Neville/Harry/Gillyweed thing 5)Dragon breaking its chain+subsequent flying chase?! 6)Crouch Jr. 7) Beaubaxtons arrival 8) Utterly disappointing 3rd task, the climax of the book...Oh brother I can go on and on about this. I think your comments on the third are quite accurate but the changes weren't as drastic as the ones made in the fourth.

Agree with some of your points on the fourth film, there was a lot of stuff they missed out, especially at the beginning and they seemed to replaces it with no very worthwhile scenes - like the dancing lessons and Hermione's tantrum at the ball! I wish we got to see them play some quidditch at the world cup too!! Though the dragon chase was brilliant - very good special effects and great fun!

Oh yeahh they have screwed the third movie mate . pathetic storyline , sad not to see a game between potty and cho in firebolt , as amatter of fact not to see any game with firebolt , he doesnt even lift the cup , or shove off malfoy with the patronus ;( A lot of changes , like hogsmeade was made look like some poor man's carnival and i felt the entire movie was crap with all the things done just for an adjustment and a replacement .

Harry potter is the best movie I ever did see. I appreciate all the characters because they are good or maybe the best. But yes, the characters grew too fast when they should only be a year older than their age. I just don't like the story in book 3, The prisoner of Azcaban. Its so boring. It lacks actions. What I love the most is Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets. The Goblets of fire is still unfinished, we have to see the next series to unveil what voldemort will do to defeat Harry. I am dying to see this on screen.

Oh, that's interesting. The third book is actually y favourite book and i thought it was full of great action. I was probably more disappointed with the third film because of this - and all the inconsistencies!!
