Well,I had my 40th birthday today and I have to say that I have thought a lot about it as I don't feel 40. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was in college and yet,it has been so long. I was wondering today as to what age you are to be considered middle aged? I guess I might be there now. I talked to an old friend today and she is a grandma and I was thinking about how I am thankful that I am not to that point yet. I am the parent of a 10 year old and a 16 year old.

Last year when my birthday came, I did not feel like celebrate it because my age reminded me I would be 40 years old. My daughter comforted me that I looked like 30 only. But I have to accept the fact that I am 40, half way of a human's life if we can live up to 80. So I count myself is a middle age woman. LOL

Thanks! I hope to live past 80 as long as I am healthy and able to care for myself. I could be middle aged, but I don't feel like it.

Happy Birthday!! They say that 40 is the new 30. So you are doing quite well. I am a bit ahead of you. I am a mother to a 27 year old and 14 and 12 year old. I look forward to being on my own again when they both graduate. Then maybe that will be a second childhood. lol Middle aged is not a big deal now. You are as yound as you feel and good luck keeping healthy and fit for enjoying the golden years. ^__^

I have always considered middle age to be somewhere in one's fifties and woulnd't consider you middle aged yet . You still have a few years left to go lol . It is amazing how we grow older each year but we can still remember so much of what it was like when we were younger and it feels like it all happened yesterday . I always thought that when I was older that I would feel somehow that I was older but the older I get , I still feel like me and the only way I know I am getting older is by the white hairs coming and the fact that it is tiring to try to keep up with my children now :)

I agree. I somehow thought that I should feel different when I reached this age, but I don't. I guess we will wait and see once we turn 50.

Happy 40th Birthday to You. I am like you when I was 40 I don't feel that old I always felt the same as I was a teenager and I still feel that way and I am only 47 now. I am about to be a grandmother in October and I know that I will feel the same.

Happy Birthday, even if I am a little late. I don't know anymore what is middle aged, or old. It has changed alot over the past years. I think it has a lot to do with how you feel personally. I am 34 and remember thinking that was sooooo old when I was around 15 or so. Now I don't feel that way of course..lol. SO I think it doesn't really matter. And I hope you had a very Happy Birthday .
