Why dont we all here just respond to one new user every day?

new users gets intimidated by any site that doesnt meet expectations. think back to when you werk a new user. sometimes no responces even though the same topic would get lots of responses from older users because they have friends. new users have no friends yet. why dont we try to make just one response to a new user every time you log in. it will really help people stay here and start enjoying what we now enjoy. just a thought.

I go in their often. Not every day, but I look around and give a few responses. We should also be supporting our friends. I like to go back to their old dicussions. You never know, you may drag out a good one.

That is a very nice thought and I already do that.Sometimes it's hard to find something new to respond to and that's when I go looking at the new users discussions.I have found that a lot of times they turn out to be really good friends and are posting some good quality discussions and give quality responses.I know that when I first started....had it not been for some nice people that responded to my discussions....I would have gotten tired of being here and would not have stuck around for this long. One new user discussion a day is not a lot and doesn't take that much time.....but it just may make someones day and make them feel welcome. So get posting people!!!

That's a really thoughful idea. I do go to the new user discussions most times when I'm on here and often find a few good questions to answer.

i always find very interesting discussions as well. and to my amazement most of them have no responses for hours after posting. it just doesnt feel right.

I have been doing that since I got here on MyLot, and it is truly sometimes a pain, but I try to stick with my own oath, because I know it was one particular MyLotter, that is now one of my best friends, that took me under her wing. And we still do it, we go once a week and respond to all the no responses as well, because that is a bummer even for senior MyLotters lol!! Sometimes you can get burnt so be fussy who and what discussions you choose.

I don't care if someone is a new user or not, when I first started on myLot I just responded to others discussions. I hardly started any at all, I just wanted to get use to things and see how other people did things.

i have a bit of a routine. first i check what my friends wrote, and respond accordingly, then i start searching the new users. i only start discussions when i really have time, because i would like to have time to respond to them all.
