Tim Hortons is a donut shop in Canada. There are dozens of them in the bigger cities and they are a huge success. In fact Tim Hortons is expanding into the States. Of course its a Franchise. They sell coffee and soup and sandwiches too Come on over to canada and visit a Tim Hortons donut shop! (don't forget your Passport because America won't let you back in again without one)

Yes, it is a major coffee and donut chain. I am in a small town and we have four here. They are everywhere... along the highways especially. The are connected to Wendy's now so I think they fall under the umbrella owner. However, Tim Horton was a real person - a Canadian hockey player from many decades ago.

Tim Hortons is a cafe famous for its coffee and doughnuts where you can chose one you like. You can also buy their brand of coffee. It is Canada's sense of identity. (forget about hockey, and saying -eh, and that other stuff you see on TV like curling, loving cold and snow. If you say you go to Tim Hortons or you'll have lunch at Tim Hortons, you're a Canadian.

well there you have it! Timmies is a canadian icon and they have a few in buffalo, ny and surrounding areas and also in florida (as many Ontarioans travel down there during our cold winter!) Timmes coffee is the best! much better than krispy kremes (although their donuts are about equal...) like other people have mentioned, tim horton played for toronto maple leafs and buffalo during the 70's and started this chain of donut/coffee places...now they have soups/ chillis etc but are still loved for their cofee!!
