Traditionally Mail settings for POP3 and SMTP are for the same mail service provider. However, with the proliferation of SPAMMING and SPOOFING, it is now required to set your SMTP settings to match your internet provider. For example, if you connect to the internet with cable internet, and your email is name@yourdomain.com, your POP3 would be "pop3.yourdomain.com" and your SMTP would be smtp.cableinternet.com. You may need to contact your ISP to find out the correct SMTP address.

Who is your e-mail provider? If you can give me that information, I should be able to help you.
