I don't usually take a nap in the afternoon, because when night time comes i can't hardly sleep. I find myself having troubles with sleeping at night. So to avoid it I just do something productive of my time. But other people say that napping is good for you, it freshens you up, lessens your stress, better reaction time, increased learning, more efficiency and better health. Studies shows that 20 minutes of sleep in the afternoon provides more rest than 20 minutes of sleep in the morning (thought the last two hours of morning sleep have special benefits of their own). The body seems to be designed for this, as most people's bodies naturally become more tired in the afternoon. Well maybe after reading this I should consider taking a nap:). So how about you, do you take a nap in the afternoon?

Yes I enjoy a nap after lunch! I'm 73 and still working. I find a 10 to 20 min. nap very beneficial! It gives me the energy needed to work in the afternoon.I usually get 6 or 7 hours sleep at night, and seldom have any trouble sleeping!

Yes I need a nap after lunch! I'm 73 and still working. I need just 10 minutes. I can get a deep sleep in that time, and then I'm ready to go back to work. I have no trouble sleeping at night and usually get 6 or 7 hours.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I can't really take a nap usually cause it messes up my sleep schedule. If I take a nap, then I have a really hard time falling asleep at night and I end up staying up really late and my cycle gets all messed up. I actually don't nap though anyway, cause I seem to have a hard time falling asleep in the middle of the day for some reason. I think maybe cause it's not habit, so my body thinks it's not supposed to fall asleep or something! lol

To be very frank, at the afternoon after lunch particularly I feel very sleepy. But I have no scope to take a nap as I have to be busy with my clients. Whenever at home and I get scope, I do take a nap for a n hour in afternoon.

I do enjoy a short nap in the afternoon. It doesn't happen often, but I'm a night person so it doesn't effect my sleeping at night - I just stay up a little longer. My favorite time to take a nap is Sunday afternoon after church. Unfortunately, most of our neighbors think that is the best time to mow their lawns! LOL

I get up at 4 a.m. to start my daily chore. I am a self employed person. I need to have afternoon nap, so that the energy gets recharged and I can stay upto 11 p.m. keep working. Situation varies from person to person. Those who are 9 to 5, do not generally require afternoon nap.

I don't usually take naps during the day because it makes it even harder to fall asleep at night. If I do end up taking one it is because I am just to tired to keep me eyes open.

Yes I do take a nap when I am very tired. Sometimes a 15 minutes nap is enough to energise your body when you did not have enough sleep the night before or you just need to wind down. This is what they call Power Nap. I do feel energetic thereafter and can continue doing my stuffs with full concentration...

I use to be able to lay down in the afternoon and take a 20 minute nap every day. The weird thing is that I would automatically wake up after about 20 minutes and then I did feel refreshed and ready to go. For some reason, as I get older, I am not able to fall asleep in the afternoon.

On the weekends, I take a nap in the afternoon. But, during the week, I can't because of work. I would love to be able too, though! Sleep is very good for you. It keeps you more alert and makes you look better. :)

Yes I always want to have a power nap which could take about 10=15 minutes and that's make me more attentive to what I do. In my case it refreshen me and somehow give a good brake in my brain to make it more active from a half day working.

20-30 minutes of catnap (after lunch) a day makes me feel recharged for the rest of the day. i am a teacher and more often than not, i really feel quite exhausted by noon. that's why, if i have the luxury of time, i take a nap before my next class starts. =)
