I mean that have you read "Quidditch through the ages" and "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them"? All these books are written by JK Rowlling some 2-3 years before and where used as promotional mattarial for Harry Potter series. the latter book is used by Harry as a school text. And the book it self resembles as used Harry's book. I think its intresting. I just got both this book in eformat and will start reading them sooon!!! What abt u????/

I read them, and enjoyed them. My favorites, of course, are the little scribbles on the sides by harry and ron. :) I would really like Rowling to write "hogwart's a history." It may give us a clue to so much information that has happened over the past 7 years. What do the staircases more? Why is there a "missing" stair? Who is Peeves, really? Those kinds of things. Don't you think it would be a great read? I know Herminone did. :)

I haven't read those two yet, but since you reminded me I will check my local library for these books. I can't wait for movie 5 and book 7 in July. Also I agree with the poster who wants J.K. to right "Hogwarts: A History". I would love to read that book. ~battlecrossgirl~

"Quidditch Through the Ages" also appears. In the Sorcerer's Stone, Hermione wants to prepare her first flying lesson and searches this book for tips. No, I'm sorry, I'd like to read them very much. One of the best things of the series is the way Rowling connects them together even in the ver simplest details. And those two you mention, are part of the fun.

I have read both "Quidditch through the Ages" and "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them". Both are short reads and are meant to be like a real book that Harry Potter would check out from the library. Both books are a fun read and give you a little more insight into the world that JK Rowling has created.

I've never actually read any of them. I do enjoy the movies though. I'm sure I'm missing out on much of the intricacies and details that a book provides but I just haven't been able to convince myself to pick up a copy.

I have them both. I thought they were alright, definitely not as good as the main series though. But I don't think they were used as a promotional technique, I'm pretty sure the proceeds went to charity.
