Advertising on Pay Per Click Sites

Has anyone advertised on any pay per click sites? I bought 5000 hits on a pay per click site. I asked the administrator when it would take effect, and they said right away. I checked back several times during the day to see if my ad would show up in the "click for cash" section, but I never saw it. Now I know a lot of people veiw this site at any time, but you would think that with 5000 hits, I could catch the ad while it was still active. How do you know if they even displayed you're ad or not?
