good or bad

I am always careful about giving my personal information such as phone, address even real name to most people I met online on social networks. Because simply I don't know really who they are, you never know! But of course when you know the person online for a long time then I can give my address if there is a reason. Like a friend of mine here on mylot who makes great soap herself asked me for my address to send me a bar of soap. I did give her my address but on a personal email outside of mylot.

i wouldnt give my number, as it would be available for all to see in their scraps. Better to send them a message with ur number, as that cant be viewed by anybody othe than the user. Cheers

well its not bad, one thing no to give is your bank account... watever information u give is the things u want to show to them as wat u are...

i think, to be on a safer side, we must refrain from providing our personal numbers not only to orkut users, but to any users to whom we have not met personally... i request you to have a same policy too.....

hi ya it is no problem of giving numbers and personal information to frnds but its not healthy to keep ur own photo in orkut display bcoz ive got a message abt tht............

i think ppl shouldnt provide their personal details on social netwroking websites...they can become an easy prey to hackers and notrious ppl. well, i have deleted all my scraps in orkut, makes your identity pulbic. People should avoid posting pictures on orkut and others...
