I have tried to go an entire week without getting angry, but it is really hard not to.I am able to control my anger but I still get mad everyday about something. I have made a challenge to myself not to get mad at anyone for an entire week starting today. So far I am doing okay at this very moment I am starting to get upset because as I am looking up someone is starting to get on my nerves. I'm taking a deep breath.

Um, well I wish I could say that I can. But I have two small children that are only 10 months apart. So I find myself getting upset quite often. I try very hard to not let them see me get upset. I really like your idea to try to go a week without getting upset. I may try that myself and see how it goes. Best of luck!

My children contributes to me getting upset everyday. I love them so much but I have to admit that they get on my nerves sometimes.

I find that impossible. Almost every morning I get mad at my daughter for moving too slow because she will be late in her classes or I get mad because she is trying to get her own way when i already said no or just some people who just doesn't follow my instructions when I say so. I do get mad quite often I think but I also get to calm down right away. I guess I just dont have a sweet disposition. I tried to be but I find it too stressful for me. LOL!

I also tried this but no effect. I started counting forward and backward but still I cannot contain my anger. The more and longer I kept it the harder and heavier to carry. Sometimes I batted it to my husband, he's my shock absorber, but that also created petty quarrels between us. I just keep on praying and stretch my patience to keep me at good health no matter how hard to deal a day to day problems at work.

Sure taking a deep breath would work! I don't think I could go an entire week without getting mad or upset if I have to work. The first thing I would get mad or upset at would be my boss' unreasonable demands (that's why I have quitted and am waiting for my last day). But if I am on vacation for a whole week (tried that before) and I would be able to control my temper and I actually really enjoy life and what surrounds me. So I believe it's the stress work gives me and I have to release it on someone or something.

Anger is a natural occurance. There are different levels of anger. Agitation is also part of anger. I get agitated more often than angry. How you handle these feelings is what defines the emotion.

Well, at least you have tried and that is good. I am an easy going person, so I spend most of my time not being mad or upset at all. It is just a gift for being a calm person, I guess.
