How mobile phone helps you in your day to day life?

Dear friends I think that a mobile phone has become an integral part of our life. Those who use it, cannot remain without it. They have become heavily dependent on it...I think so. Has mobile also become an integral part of your life and you cannot go anywhere without your mobile? How useful is a mobile phone for you, in your opinion? Which of the mobile phones do you carry? Do you feel like changing it say after six months...or so ...or do you continue with your old mobile? I am having Nokia 3230 with me...and I use it to the best extent possible, for music, images, video, FM and above all for exchanging SMSs. Your views please. Thanks.

I use my mobile phone to keep in contact with my husband when my son and I are out and about town. I also text a lot to family overseas instead of calling (so much cheaper). I have yet to use it for anything else other than for emergencies. I own a LG Cherry Chocolate phone from Verizon (a gift from my husband).

The mobile phone does not really helps me in my day-to-day life. I am not dependent on it. I use it only when necessary, often for messages and calls which are necessary only when I am not contactable by emails or normal phones. As such I do not exploit my phone.

Yes, mobile phone is very important to me. I often need to contact people when I am on the road. Without it, I can't communicate with them and my work may be affected because of that. So, thanks for a great technology!

Before i was addicted to a mobile phone.Though its not very useful to me, but then, i want to change it every now and then with a latest style.I feel like cool and maybe my passion too. Until lately, its not practical. And i realized that i am spending too much on it without valid reason at all.So, i have my cellphone now and i just sell my other one. If i have cellphone today it is because i need it too bad for my work since my clients, call and message me all the time for the help and services that i am giving to them.

For me mobile phone is really usefull. People can just reach me anytime and anywhere. And I don't have running around like crazy to find any public phone that hopefully still working nor coins to make a call. I don't use it alot, but I make sure that I always have it in my bag. At the moment I have samsung but my favorite is still my motorolla. I don't change my phone alot but I just got it for free every two years when my phone subcribe expire.

hi deepak, its my companion when iam alone as i listen to music, chat with my friends and send text messages in my free time.Iam using a Nokia brand which i have not changed for the past 2 years because it has got some good features which i like. I never forget to take my handset while leaving from home and i feel something missing if there is some problem with my mobile.Hence i take a lot of care for it.

hello dpk. as for me, i have a nokia N73 which is already 10 months old. it's not that i cannot leave home without it but it has been a part of my life already. i love taking pictures and the camera built in it is always of use for me. it has lots of features which i truly love. but most of all, i needed it for communication purposes. my boyfriend lives away from me. and in some cases aside from chatting everyday, we send each other text messages and at times, he gives me a call. my father lives away from us, too. and it's the best and quickest device my dad can contact me and the family for any reason there is. my friends and i are in our separate lives. and mobiles phones keep us in touch wherever we may be. i don't really change phones all the time. my last phone had been of good use to me for 4 or 5 years (not sure anymore). it was a nokia 7650 phone and i love it. now, i love my phone and i have no plans on changing to another model unless it gets damaged. take care... anne

He,he.....I'm laughing here. Why?Lets see.My husband owns 2 shops. Both of them are mobile selling shops.I know what you thinking most of you...that I'm lucky because I can have the last model of mobile or I can change it whenever I want.Wrong guessing... No ,I haven't a bad husband that will not give me any mobile I want.Exactly the opposite.I just don't like mobiles at all.I have one and I take it with me but I use it as less I can.Just to call anyone if is necessary.I prefer have my old Nokia and even if my husband gave me new i don't want it.I don't like listen music take photos etc...with the mobile. As much I'm crazy and I love my computer so much I hate mobiles. PS:My husband is just glad that not many people like me around lol:

Aidonia, so you are different from otheres...as far as mobile phones are concerned. You can have the latest model at the slightest pretext ....but you do not....wonderful! As long as your old NOkia is serving you...I think you should not have any regrets. But please do not hate mobile...mobile users! LOL! I agree with your statement that - "PS:My husband is just glad that not many people like me around lol:" yes, he would definitely be happy at his heart to know your attitude towards mobiles.

I actually work for a very large mobile service provider and I can tell you that this is how they market the mobile phones now. You just cannot live without it. Take O2 for instance they used to be called Cellnet but changed to O2 in the late 90's, o is the chemical symbol for Oxygen and of course you cannot live without it. In Japan they have made mobiles that can be scanned into machines that will allow payments to go through the same as credit cards. this means no longer having to carry a purse or wallet. Mobiles will soon be used to open doors on cars taking away the need for keys. you can now order concert tickets and a barcode is sent directly to your phone VIA MMS this will be all you need to get into your concert. Iam a big fan of the mobile phone and all the increasig technology that goes with it and I really dont think I could live without my phone. I currently have a Nokia N95. It has a GPS system on it and a 5 MP digital camera. What more could I want. lol

We are a herd animals. HUmans have spent all of their time on this earth in herd, in tribes, in villages. We ahve always been able to communicate with everyone just by stepping outside. Now we live in large city and are so distant from each other we barely know our neighbors. We are trying to keep the samer connection that we are designed for, but without actually being a part of a unit. So we have cell phones, the internet, and television to try to trick ourselves into thinking we are still part of a tight unit.

I used Nokia 6260 before I can't bought this kind os cell so I wait it for the prize to dropped even there are new one in the market I don't want to replace it. Coz all features are useable. With bluetooth, camera, video, radio, internet. It's like carying all the stuff in one.

You are right, mobile phones have become like extension of our bodies. It's like your third arm or third leg that has become so vital. I think I can not leave my house without my phone. It connects me to my loved ones. It entertains me through music and video streaming, and it wakes me up in the morning.

mobile phone is becoming a part of life i think in further days each person will be having its own mobile. When coming to your question it has many advantages like it will reduce the distance between two persons, we can be mobile with it, we can have messages and send messenges to any person and can store pictures and can play games and can here songs aswellas view it.

yes. it's already a part of life. like it's already a necessity. and it surely makes distance a lot smaller. people who live apart can just text each other and make each other feel they're just near. it's a wonderful device and it does lots of good things.

Hello! The mobile phone has most definitely become a necessity in the life of my family. We got rid of our land line phones and go with strictly cell phones now. So we take our phones with us everywhere we go. If anyone needs to call us they must call us on our cell phone. My husband, daughter and I all use Samsung phones. We are with the T-Mobile company. We use it mostly for talking but my daughter and I use them for sending pictures and text messages some also. SheliaLee

Well, sometimes I don't like keeping a mobile phone, because I don't like receiving so many text messages, especially those unimportant ones. I hate it that my friend is in my next door, but she text me to ask what I want to have for supper. I think it's really a waste of money. Thus sometimes I think mobile phones make people lazier. However, I can't deny that the mobile phone is of great importance in our life. It makes it convinient to contact friends and relatives and it makes your family less worried when you are out if you give them a call... I have lost two mobile phones, which were both stolen on the bus:-( I use Nokia 2626 now, though it's very simple and cheap, I like it so much^_^

I have been using my same Nokia for the past two years. I only need my mobile phone for making/answering calls and sending/receiving message. Before that I was using a smartphone, O2 but since I didn;t know how to use most of the features, I sold it to my friend. For me, mobile phone is very important and I need it all the times. It is not like few years before where a mobile phone is considered as luxurious item. I am not a kind of person who loves to change my mobile phone whenever a new model is introduced in the market.
