I will like to know if you actually as a person read response to an intresting topic before contributing your own quota to it or after you might have contributed you now check out other response and still add your own views. I do that. What about you?

i make it a habit to read other people's response before i do mine. this is to avoid responding with the same response that other mylotters did before.

It really depends on how I am answering the discussion. If I am answering from my email. Than no I don't read the discussion first. If I find the discussion through my lot. Than I read the whole discussion first and all the responses that go with it before I respond. After I contribute. I do go back and read other peoples responses to see if I can add a little bit more. Or get a little more insight on the matter being discussed.

Well for me it all depends on the number of responses the discussion has. If it is a discussion with like 20 to 30 responses already, then no I won't read them all. I will read the first page and then respond if it is a discussion that I feel I can contribute to. If the discussion only has a few responses, then I will read them all and again will respond only if I feel I can contribute to it. There are many times that I will pass a really good discussion because after reading the responses, I don't feel I can contribute to them. Most of time because it seems like everyone else has already answered the discussion and there wouldn't be anything new that hasn't already been said.

I like to read the other responses. It gives a feel of their mind set and besides I do not want to duplicate their answers including the examples given and would rather use my own words.

Well it depends really.. If I am writing from notification email then it goes straight to responding to the discussion so I don't look at the responses, any way I just like to write what comes to my heart in my own style lol, so even if the content is the same , my style of writing will always be mad and unique..but I do love to read other responses when I have time..
