In this world of uncertainty they say that survival is the name of the game..For a mom like me who've been separated for almost 5 years life seems to be so hard.Surviving not only in terms of financial but as well as physical, mental and spiritual..Oh my..i must tell you've got to have something in you so extra, so super to be able to surpass all ghe challenges and to fight all the odds in life. Surviving is really hard coz we take it one day at a time..But i have realized that the main ingridient of surviving is by having a strong faith. Yo should believe that despite all the hardships you are CAPABLE to do things not only for yourself but more so for your love ones. And that anything is possible with the help of friends around and the one up there..who else but HIM.. The LOrd.. agree?

I totally agree with you. I must say you are a very brave person to take on all that and your kids too. I wish you the best of luck. And just think things will get better. Your kids will grow and be able to help too...so keep your head up and focus on the future.

I salute all the single moms out there. We as mother will do anything for our family in order to survive. Single moms are super moms because they have to juggle family and work. Raising kids alone can be hard. But raising them to be good citizens and loving persons with career and family of their own later on, can be rewarding too. Don't forget the Lord, pray for guidance and strength to carry on.

yes, i do agree with you whole-heartedly that surviving is very very hard... we have to struggle to be able to survive here... but i also do believe like what you say that in every hardship that we endure, we are not alone... God is always with us and He never sleeps nor leaves us... He is always up there watching over us all the time and He is our good shepherd... i always find my strength in Him and no one else... and i also believe that His grace is sufficient for us and He never leaves His people who loves Him alone...

i do agree with that. I have been a single mom and it is very tough to achieve having to work full time, make sacrifices away from the children and try to make ends meet with a measly paycheck that barely covers the bills and somehow make life entertaining for the young ones on a limited budget. So, yes, having faith in a higher power definitely helps when you can give your problems to your Lord. Friends certainly help to listen and understand what you are going through. Thanks!

I am not a single parent, but I was raised without a father. I watched my mom struggle at times to pay bills, but she made sure we never did without. To this day I still don't know how she managed raising 2 kids alone. Child support was only $120/mth. I would be lost if I was a single parent. I would probably fall apart. Even as a couple with kids surviving is still hard and you have to take it one day at a time. Hang in there single moms, life will get better! You have to make the best of what you got as some people are much less fortunate and actually have nothing!

I really do have high regards for single parents. It is hard enough to be a parent even with a partner, but for a single parent to raise kids, and juggle work and so many other things to survive is just downright tough! It does takes so much courage, strength of steel to survive your situation and I also would agree it would definitely help a great deal to have a strong faith in God. So hang on, be optimistic, and live life one day at a time. Seek your friends and relatives, will help a great deal.

I definitely agree...you must really be a strong woman to have survived all the challenges in life...they say that the best psychiatrist is our faith, or belief in God..we have him to cling on when the going gets rough. Have tried it several times, and always, He never fails to send people and events who help us while sailing through very rough seas. You just hold on, and take every challenge in stride. I believe that for every trial and difficulty, there is a corresponding happiness and peace that follow...

Life is not a bed of roses. We have to live & not exsist in this world.Though i'm not a single parent but i can understand the hardships a single mother has to face. They are not only mothers but super mothers who have innate strength to fight with all the hardships. These days the kids are so demanding that it is hard to fulfill all their demands. It is HE who guides us, helps us & gives us strength to fight against all the odds. Have faith in HIM & trust him & u'll find the difference.

Yes that's it. Without faith in God i don't where to put myself now. Working so hard for our daily needs, a lot of bills are waiting. God won't give us this trial is we can't handle it. Don't lose hope. All things work together for good in his purpose.
