How many women out there will buy something and not tell their husband until he sees you with it or wearing it, or using it? I have done this and continue to do it. Not on major items though. How large was the item you "forgot" to tell your husband about???

May I answer this, from the point of view of a husband? I wouldn't mind if my wife would buy things for herself, specially if she has a job of her own, earning the money herself. Not that I would mind if the money comes from me though. I would still not mind, because if the money came from me and I gave it to her, it is for her to spend. In fact I would appreciate it if she buys something for herself and make her self more attractive for me, but only for me, mind you LOL.

So you are saying that you would not care as long as she had a job and used her own money. What about stay at home moms? We work just as hard as those woman that have a paying job, but we don't get paid for our work. So your telling me that woman like stay at home moms shouldn't be able to spend money on themselves because they don't work. We work very hard at what we do and should have the same privileges that woman who work do.

Hey, it is good to hear the Husband's side!! Thanks for your input. I guess some of us women "worry" more than we have to. Thanks again

I know what you mean. I too have done this and still do. But like you said just on little things. I really can't remember what the largest thing was that I "forgot" to tell my husband. And like you I will probably continue to to this. My husband is very picky on the way the money gets spent, so that is why I have to sneek things here and there. But normally they are things that I feel I need, yet my husband doesn't see the point in it.

I don't have a husband so I can't say I do this, but occasionally at work (a craft store) we will get a woman who will ask us to like just throw out the receipt and she'll want to put the items in her purse or bag she brought along so her husband doesn't see the bag she bought lol. It's really funny what some people will do just to lie to their spouses!

Now my first husband was the penny pinching type and I would buy things and not say a word, untill he saw it , but my husband now I can buy what ever I want and dont have to worry at all about it in fact sometimes we will be shopping and he will say is there something you want? or he will see something and say didnt you say you wanted that? I think this one is a keeper.

I would tell my hub about whatever I bought and show them to him when I got them home. It didn't mean that I have to report to him whatever I got or how much money I spent, I just want him to enjoy them with me. Of course, most of the time he did not show great interest in them, but I just can't help going on to tell him about it. lol.
