my bosses at work drive me crazy!

i think this is just an ongoing complaint but here it goes:
there are 2 ladies above me in my office. and i really dont mesh with either of them but, we get along as far as work goes. for the most part....but every once in a while they will just become total....uh....i dont even know what to call them it frustrates me soooo bad! I knew this week was going to be a bad one since monday! we walk in and they tell us (me and the other receptionist) that we cant keep our personal belongings at the front desk any more. now, the other receptionist sometimes brings a lot of stuff but for the most part i only bring my purse.
but we did what we were told. the next thing was that they were moving the time sheets into the other girls office and we have to sign in and out there. which is fine but that chick is WAY anal about it. on tuesday i was supposed to meet my co-worker some where and we only had a lil amount of time and the chick told me her office was open to sign out....but...it wasnt....so i asked if i could just do it when i got back and she said NO it's just an EFFING piece of paper!!!!!! we dont even turn them in!!!
Next....i was late the other morning...my bad i know.....i fell back to sleep after my alarm went off....so i get there and ask if i can take a shorter lunch or work later.....and she will let us do that every once in a while but no she had to be a B and say "no...no...ni..nicole....your...jus...just....LATE" she cant even give it to me straight...she gotta studder! UGH!!
And today.......i have two things up at our desk that have been there for a while and she put post-it notes for me to take them home...and wrote us another email saying we cant keep our stuff up here!!!! im not putting my purse in her office she already goes thru my desk and eats my stuff and uses my lotion!!!!!! they can buy us something to keep up here to put it in!!!!...........
Oh and then they said that they were going to our other building and then getting something at walgreens and then coming back.....they wouldnt answer their cells when we called to ask a question, and they came back with a yellow bag full of clothes! walgeens bags are white with red writing! and they get pissed at us for being a few minutes late!!!!! ARGH!! thats sooo annoying!
the kicker of the whole thing...i want to quit but cant right now cuz my husband got out of the navy and is looking for a new job and i need health care to help with my infertility Docor!!!!....................
anyone else have a boss or bosses like this??

Luckily at this point I pretty much get along with my bosses. All except this one girl I work with. Technically she's above me, but she's only ever my "boss" if the other two are not there. The job this girl has is a job I could have had but I turned down. I can do her job with my eyes closed and hands tied behind my back. She's a bit intimidated because of this I know. Which, in turn, makes me happy because she won't tell me what to do ...ever! but on a personal level, I hate this girl. She's only a year younger than me, but if I didn't know any better I'd think she was still 16. She looks young she dresses young and she has the mentality of a young person. When she calls out sick, HER MOM CALLS HER OUT SICK. My mom has NEVER called me out. Ever. Ohh... on a personal level there's sooooo many things I hate about this girl. So sometimes at work she'll say things or do things that just pluck my nerves and i have to do my best to not saying anything...so most of the time I don't even respond to her.
Anyway, I hate how bosses can do whatever they want and completely screw you for no reason.

Oh no problem. Sometimes bosses are crazy! I also think sometimes people think lowly of receptionists. I wonder if that's what your bosses are doing to you. You know my moms a school secretary and people always take her for granted and think she doesn't actually do as much as she does.
I like dudes better too. dudes are always better.

I had bosses like that! I worked in a snakepit that had all of us 'peons' with heart conditions.
They went through our desks as well, but we had a locking cabinet that we kept everything not for work locked in.
They would send us nasty emails about being late, taking too much time at breaks, etc. Then the supervisor would have to come in late or take long lunches because something was going on with her boyfriend or child.
The turn-over at the snakepit was unreal. I know people who left well-paid jobs there to work in fast food.
There are places on-line that prefer veterans. Maybe your husband needs to try some of them.

thank you so much for your comment! yea..thats pretty much how i feel here....like a "peon"....as soon as i can im quitting....i would just up and leave, but....i have more work ethic than that....even if i do hate my job with a passion! i could be making a lot MORE money somewhere else but since we moved here in a hurry i needed a job in a hurry and im STUCK! we are also trying to get pregnant...so im going to use my benifits to the fullest...and my maturnity leave and then just not come back.........or quit b4 then which ever comes along first! ugh!.........thank you for your support!

wow...this is a blast!i'm at a loss for words...it's truely a shame that i am reading about how you really feel.
for the record, that effing paper gets you paid!
i go through your desk, eat your stuff, and use your lotion! you got to be kidding me! we wont even talk about the desk, but eating you stuff! like what! one cherry! who has offered FOOD and not to mention SHARING MY LUNCHES...and the lotion, come on I asked you and could have just said no.
yellow bags full of fruits and vegetables, not clothes...they get pissed when we're a few minutes late "they have to your job when your late" do you have to do our job when we're late??? NO!
i love your responses to others that have replied. i have 5 brothers and and i get along with everyone. i was in the same position as you were and i would never consider that position to be the lowest one...and thank you, but i dont think i was ever a B I T C H at work...
and by the way, how do you consider yourself to have "good work ethic". working for benefits only...and plan to leave once your prego...wow
dont get me wrong, sometimes its hard to work with someone like our boss, but i didnt know you felt this way about me...for the record, i dont like FAKE PEOPLE!
