hi there, I think it depends on the organizers.. I believe there are rules in every functions or gatherings in a company event.. some functions is like a family affair, I myself tag along my daughter if it's a xmas party at work.. :) but, if the occassion is seminars or events which require attendance of adult only.I abide..

I think it is fine if you bring your boyfriend. I don't know your exact circumstances, but when that situation has happened with my mom and dad's jobs, they always take each other.

Yeah, I think it is fine to bring him with you. If you are uncertain you could ask someone else if they are bringing someone.

is it allowed to bring one? well if it is allowed then its okay... when it is not then its is rude to bring a company along. some people just bring company without asking and i think that is not a good thing to do. ask first if its okay... if its not well theres nothing you can do about it.

If it is possible, and my hubby has time to go, I will bring him to my company funtion along. Otherwise, I won't bring him. I have to admin, without bring him, I feel more freedom by chatting with my workmates and having a really big laugh. With him, I have to make sure he is not bore incase he doesn't find someone to chat up. I will not bring my kids that is for sure. LOL

it depends on the type of function. if it's exclusive to the company stakeholders, normally we would be advised not to bring a friend or relative. if it's casual and family-oriented affair, then i think the organizers would extend the invitation to your family or other half. it's best to ask the organizers if it's ok to bring along someone to the event. if there's a limited number of attendees, registration and seating arrangements at the function, it's good to let the organizers know beforehand coz we wouldn't want our companion to feel the odd man out.

For me, i think it depends on the occassion... Lets say its like those dinner and dance functions, i guess its pretty fine to bring along a partner, isnt it? I love bringing my bf along with me, or perhaps even a close friend, coz i agree with u, it certainly makes me more comfortable and raise my level of confidence... I mean they will be around to support me be it playing games, dancing or some other simple activities? Also, its good to be able to involved ur partner with u be it whatever occasion, isnt it? At least thats what i think... =)

I would think that it would depend upon what the function was and what the company said with the invitation. For instance, company picnics often say 'bring your family.' However, sometimes the function is more for the employees only.

It would depend if the company will allow their employees bring along someone in the gathering. In such case, I would love to ask someone to accompany me. It would depend on the occassion of whom I will invite. I also feel much comfortable when I have somebody to accompany me in a event.

No, It is not ok if you are not one of the highest ranked in that company. If you know that your are highly paid already and one of the top people of the company then yes you can bring anyone along as long as you won';t bother anyone.
