Do you get discourage when nobody responded to your topic?

You didn't know about myLot until somebody invited you to join. You register for the sole reason that it could be a source of extra income. Cool, you'll just write and post there it is you'll earn cash. Very simple. After a few days you'll get the hang of writing enjoy doing it already you almost forgot that you're doing it for the money. Then one day you posted a topic but nobody seemed to like what you wrote it did not get any response. You stop to wonder why? So my dearest mylotters, do you get discourage when nobody responded to your topic? or you get challenged keep on writing and dare to find if somebody will notice? .... Or you do not care at all after all you're just here for the $. it does not matter whether your topic is noticed or not. love to hear your true feelings :)

Well, in the 8 months since I came here on myLot I have gone thru spurts of posting on here. I have also started a lot of discussions. Some of them have a lot of answers and replies back on them which is good, and then some of them not that many. I find that sometimes it could be the Topic you choose to discuss on here, and at other times it could just be the time of day. Some people on here would say adding a lot of Friends helps you get noticed more when you start New discussions but I would say that is only part of it, because to me, it also would be the type of discussion someone starts on here, as to whether I would reply back to it or not as well. So, what I would suggest for you since you are Newer to this site, is experiment a little with this site, and see what works best for you. Have Fun, and don't fret about the small stuff.

The subject of your post is what matters most here... I have read a post somewhere here that adding friends may help too, I agree that it is only a part. For me, I prefer asking questions as my subject.

Yes.I really get discouraged when nobody respond to my discussions.I usually try to put quality discussions and when people doent care about them,I seriously feel depressed. For beginners like me,it will not be good.

I do feel discouraged if I have only 0-1 response to discussions I make. In fact, as of the moment, I chose to comment on news items that interest me and send pictures, instead of starting a new discussion here. This way, I don't worry whether mylotters respond to my discussions or not. I'm grateful though to a friend who replied to my discussion, otherwise, it would have been a zero. If you're not discouraged, I don't know what you are. It's just normal to feel that way, and I don't think it is embarassing to admit. Anyway, I am still here, this means I enjoy being a member of this community....we just have to be creative in order to enjoy...

i admire your honesty psyche. i also admit that i do get discourage. we are human not a machine anyway. but i try to be positive about it and analyze the reason why nobody responded. this way i don't get negative on the issue. like you i look for other topics that would interest me respond or post comment to it. but if i have an important discussion and i need to ask the opinion of others i take risk if i get at least 1 to 5 responses i'm fine with it.

I have thought about this too. Usually, I double check my writings before I post it. Have you tried the same thing?

I wouldn't say I get discouraged, I just wonder why. I don't think any of the discussions I've started were pointless, infact I try to make them all quite interesting, but the most I've had on one discussion was 25, and that was a very controversial topic. It kinda annoys me to see posts that are really frivilous and don't really make much sense, getting loads of comments. But hey, it's what the people want, I guess. Maybe my way of thinking is too advanced for mylotters. (That comment won't win me any favours). Lol

No, I don't get discouraged. Although it has only happened once to me. It didn't bother me though. Either people couldn't relate to my question or there may have been a lot of topics about.

I must admit its kind disheartening but it wont discourage me since I know everyone has their own mind set and free for whatever they want on how to deal every topic here. If my topic did not get any response then I'm a little bit sad but that would not stop me for making another one hoping this time it will be more better appealing to it.

Well yes i do. I try to make topics but i don seem to get proper attention here seems as if they wont reply even for the money in it. I do feel discouraged out of making topics which dont even make it up to a good eye catching delight just like you all do. Or maybe us new ones are exploited untill and unless you av sum reputation its useless for people to ask for responding in to our topics. Thanks for you concern .

Hi,3superkids! To be honest,I will feel a little bit discourage when nobody responded to my topic.Well,it's okay.I'm still a newbie and I will try my best to make my topic more interesting.:) I have started 3 discussions now but the max responses I got was 10.Well,I really admire some Mylotters who can get more than 100 responses.

i admire them also but sometimes it also made me think do they read all those responses? :)

Hmmm sometimes, that is why most subjects of my posts are questions, not to force other people to respond to my post but that helps. If you ask them, there is a possibility that people answer you.

yes, in fact, i do get frustrated. but i keep trying. i figure the odds keep getting better that i will write something of interest to others. i'm not here for the money. i really don't figure that i will ever even reach my payout. but i do enjoy reading and responding to others. i'm always open to learn something new.

that's why your confidence losts his way!!!! i do agree with you that one needs to be inspired when he is up to something.you see, encouragenment is apparently a sword to cut obstacles on your way to the success.during the last several months,i failed to share my confidence in reading English with my girlfriend,i was so sad about it.really tougher.from her point of view,i should inspire her more instead of discouraging.so i also hold the idea we should encourage those who need our inspirison.

On other forums, it sucks to get no responses to your thoughts/opinion or what you something you found interesting. In the end I just really want to see what people think, and it sucks when there's no response.

I am here for almost 4 months now.And its true that somehow, you will feel bad when you post discussions and nobody noticed and reply it.Even someone respond on it and only one or 2, it still feel me so bad.But if i am going to be this way always, and discouraged me, maybe, i am not here no more. But then, it challenged me a lot and i think great discussions which will really catch their eyes and interest them that will lead them to open and read and then post a reply for it.

i think it will depend on the topic, sometimes the topic of my discussion are about the things that i am curiosing about. When the topic is very important to me i get discourage, but when it is less important i don't mind it.

Definitly not! Because I cant expect a reply for all my interest always. If the topic is really interesting, you will get a response. I will take that as an opportunity to understand the pulse of the Mylotters and I have already done that in cases where I have got very less responses. Learn from your failures always.

I don't really get that discouraged. Some people want to talk about what I do and others don't. Oh well no biggy.

No, not at all. I'm used to no one responding to what I post so it's no big deal. I actually like reading through what everyone else posts anyways more than I like reading responses to my own. The money is nice, but it's not like it's a ton of money really.
