A Thing Of Beauty Is A Joy Forever...

I believe in the author who said that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", because each of us has its own definition of what beautiful is. Like, this person may be beautiful for me, but he/she may not be for you. So...it actually depends on how we see the person.

I do agree with the view that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is beautiful to one may not be that outstanding to another. In a way, this is good. This means that there will always be another who look at you and think you beautiful - no matter how you may look to "most people". I have seen many couples who do not look fantastic - yet both of them think each other very beautiful. This way, people can marry and continue making babies (lol). Otherwise, there will be a short supply of partners. :P

Well I'm not so good with words but I would have to agree with it because something so special will always be a thing of beauty. Such as the world. (or country side) which isn't often spoken in the same sentence as beauty. Kudos, ~Joey

Beauty is something everyone wants in her life. It is a universal belief that beauty can bring love and happiness and we all want to be beautiful. True beauty attracts with kindness and welcomes with trust. Beautiful hands are never lifted in anger and a beautiful mouth never speaks words that hurt. Someone who is beautiful moves with great care in another person's life and creates a place that is safe. True beauty is long lasting and is never destroyed by age. True beauty is reflected not in physical features but in spiritual qualities like love and peace. To age does not matter but worrying about aging will make you age faster.

Beauty is a gift from God. One author says, 'the person who is blessed by nature is blessed with precious beauty. A beautiful person with beautiful personality gives a different kind of impression on others.' 'Beauty easily catches my attention, but personality catches my heart.' Your physical beauty is not forever. It fades away. The real beauty is what is inside of you, that is beauty and that will live forever. Beauty is reflected on the good things that you do to others, the way you understand, trust, love, care for them. This makes your personality so beautiful. As someone said and I believe it's true that a beautiful woman is a diamond BUT truthful, honest, trustworthy woman is a treasure.

I agree, there is a certain joy found in our souls when we see something that to us is beautiful.....I receive joy from so many things that I consider beauty....the joy in my heart from the beauty within my friends....the beauty of the coutryside where I live, the beauty of a song that makes me feel good..... Yes, my friend....this world is full of beauty....stopping for a moment to appreciate it is a special blessing that each of us have the chane to do....LOL

I'm pretty sure that these two poets refers to beauty not as physical but more of spiritual and moral. However, interpretation differs on how one individual measures beauty according to his own standard. For me a person is beautiful when he has a good heart. There are others who enjoyed beauty on its physical plane. So you see, the true meaning of beauty depends on the person who wants beauty set on his personal standard.
