I buy alot of store bought bread but i love homemade so much more. I have a bread maker i like to use that. I am not very good at doing it the old fashioned way. Which type to u prefer homemade or store bought bread? Do you make your own and do u do it the old fashioned way or with a bread machine? My favorite kind of homemade bread is brown bread what about you?

I prefer homemade...and while I have a breadmaker...I rarely use it...I prefer the old-fashioned way with active yeast......store bought bread is good occassionally for convenience...but I would not want to have to depend on it every day....

I definitely prefer homemade bread over the store bought bread. I don't have a bread machine, so I have to do it the old fashioned way. I think it's sort of fun to do it that way, although it does take forever! My favorite kind is sourdough bread!!

Sure I love homemade bread- But it takes too long and it is too hot to to make it in the oven. So I buy my bread in the store- I don't have a bread machine- I know I'd use one if I had one- You can make pretzels, pizza dough, bread, rolls- etc. in them- But I just have not gotten around to buying one yet- If I had one I'm sure I'd make it at home instead of buying it- Gone would be the days- of not having any bread in the house- LOL

I make homemade bread about every two weeks. It is just Bruce and I, and we are not big bread eaters. I use the bread machine for the dough cycle only. I usually make Italian bread. That is my favorite homemade bread. I prefer homemade bread to store bought bread.

The only two ways that I really enjoy white bread is when it is homemade or when store bought white bread is toasted. I prefer Jewish Rye bread for my sandwiches although once in a while I will change to sourdough or pumpernickel.

Gee, I haven't made homemade bread in ages...and I used to do it the old fashioned way...nothing beats smelling that warm yeasty smell of bread rising...one of my favorite breads to make was cheese bread...another..one of my real specialties was cranberry-walnut bread...I would literally make a ton of them around Christmas and give them as gifts...last Christmas was the first time I made those breads again after years of not doing so..and OMG..I had forgotten how delicious it was

Homemade bread rocks! We also have a bread maker, so we use that. I think it gives us the same result of old fashioned bread, but much less hassle. I love the homemade white bread! YUM!
