Walking...

Do any of you walk on a daily basis? If so..how long do you walk for or how many miles? Do you have any tricks? Im going to start walking 6 days out of the week, starting monday...and im super excited because I want to loose weight and I feel motivated right now. Discuss!

I was going well for a couple of months going for a walk after dinner every night, but I didn't lose any weight and somewhere along the way I lost interest, sometimes I wish I lived near a nice park or something ot even a nice big shopping centre, or just somewhere nice to walk, but then it is getting cold now and dark early so I may leave it till a few months down the track now...

yeah thats what im afriad of, loosing intrest. Luckily..I live near parks, and shopping centers, but I also always have a fear of walking alone.

yeh I know what you mean I used to carry a pepper bomb with me which is a little film canister filled with pepper and I used to hold in my hand as I walked...just made me feel a bit better.. :)

Hey there, firstly congratulations for even thinking of walking, and second keep it up, you will benefit big time... I will walk for 30-45 minutes halfway around the beach at my own pace, because I refuse to walk like those fast walkers do lol, or else I will take a bike ride around the beach and go the whole stretch of the beach... Sometimes I just settle for my morning workout, in which I punch and kick a bag for 25-30 minutes and drinks loads of water...

Woow!.. Ypu seem to be very determined about walking.. Let me tell you that this feeling may soon wear out and you would be spending most of your time at home. It has happened to me but again I am back on track. I started to walk on alternate days.. Its easy on ur body.. Increases ur daily metabolism and you are on your way to a healthy way of reducing weight... Have fun walking and always keep to the left on your street!
