Thunder is boring / myLot

Last night,it was rainning cats and dogs, and the thunder continued for about one hour. It was really a terrible night. I couldn't got sleep until the thunder was gone. As a result, I was got up very late this morning, even the clock couldn't woke me up. It's still rainning now. what a long rainy day !

I do not know which country you belong to. In India, particularly south India, it may rain for nearly 3o to 45 days in a year and hardly we have one or two days thunderstorms with loud noise. But that is hardly disturbing anyone's sleep. May be those areas which receive heavy rainfall (some of them throughout the year) may experience thunder, lightening. I think it is not a problem facing people at large. Try keeping cotton buds in your ears, close windows and doors of outside and inside. You can hear less noise,

Yor country is has vast areas and obviously there are variety of climates with extremeties. Probably the province where you are staying may be experiencing heavy rains and thunderstorm.

I wonder whether we are from the same place. I am from Guangzhou, China. Last night there was a really heavy rain, and with horrible lightning and thunder. It's just so horrible.
