Yes, God the Father and Jesus are one. Jesus said "I and the father are one" John 10:30 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" John 14:6 As I have mentioned in my other post "Is Jesus Christ God?" If you want to communicate your love to a colony of ants, the best way would be to become an ant. That is exactly what God did. He came in the form of man to show His love to us and also to die for our sins.
