I have got a Lazar mouse, and before that I had an optical mouse (a gift) that worked fine but scratched the top of my desk, then finally did not work. Before that I had the usual mouse with the ball in it (I have no idea what you call it) and I was constantly opening the back to take out the ball and clean it, not to mention having to go to Staples to buy another one. Now that I have my Lazar mouse, everything works fine. What kind of mouse do you use?

Thanks for your answer. I'd like a wireless mouse, but that would mean I would have to have my son open my computer and put the connector inside. I cannot do it myself. I have too much static electricity in me. But it would be easier for me without the cord getting in the way, getting caught and all that.

Mine was fine, but it scratched my desk top. There is also a little indentation in the back where dust could get in. We live in an older house so that has always been a problem, not to mention the cord getting tangled. Mine lasted over six years.

Thanks for your response. I guess you have the mouse with the ball inside of it. The opticals and lazars are a bit expensive unless you happen to get one as a gift and the other on sale.

i have a wires ps/2 mouse and its an optical mouse with 5 buttons. the 2 extra buttons act as back and forward on your web browser. it cost me £3.50 about 4 years ago now, it looks a mess but its a good mouse it does the job and ive definately got my moneys worth out of it. Who needs an expensive mouse! not me this one does a perfect job and is better than a ball mouse any day.

I've been through so many ball mice that I cannot count. My optical mouse lasted about six years, but it was going (like my old computer) and it skipped all the time or froze, but I figured it would have to last. Then I went to Staples, a home and office store we have here in Canada and the United States. I was browsing around and there it was on sale, half price, a lazar mouse, regular over sixty dollars (I do not know what that is in pounds) half priced. So I bought it. I do not have to worry about cleaning it.
