Car that fits 3 carseats

Does anyone have a car that can fit 3 carseats in the back seat? I would have 1 booster, 1 convertable and 1 carrier carseat. Possibly 2 boosters and 1 carrier. My DH insists that there isn't a car to fit and we would need a minivan.

I used to have an old station wagon. It fit the kids... We even moved my piano (it was laying down) in it. I also had an SUV. That one was good because I could seperate the kids. I also had a mini van. The gas mileage was AWESOME! Yeah, I looked like a mom, but I could get kids and groceries in it at the same time and no one had to hold bags.

I am thinking a minivan would be the way to go. My husband works on Honda's and Acura's and I don't like the Oddysey. The gas milage would be a big perk as of right now. I have an SUV right now and I measured and the infant seat won't fit with the 2 in there already.

The bigger family cars do fit 3 carseats, but they are usually much more expensive than a minivan. Also, if you have 3 little ones, it won't be long before you need to seperate them and a van if a great asset when this time comes.

You are right about the cost of a car versus a minivan. I think having a sliding door might be more handy too. Then I won't have to worry about them throwing the door out and hitting another car too. And if I need to give a friend a ride we would have even more room.

I know that my car does not fit that many. It barely fits two, one infant and one booster. With the baby car seat in the car it makes it very hard to put the booster in and for the kids to buckle. I would like to know if there is a car that could handle it, it being three.

no, sorry, we couldn't find one that fit 2 carseats and all the gear very well. Even if you found a car taht fit that many carseats, where would you put the stroller, diaper bags.. etc? I know, I was completely against vans until we got one, now I love ours. I don't know if you like station wagons, but if you do, you may be able to find one that is roomy enough. Good luck!

If you look more into a family type vehicle, example would be buicks there backseats can usually fit 3 car seats. We have a conversion van since we have 4 kids, 2 in car seats and fits us perfectly for family trips and there is room to move if needed. I think a large sized conversion van fits larger families better then trying to fit everyone in a car and be cramped.

I'm wondering if a lincoln towncar would do it. My dad had a towncar and the backseat on that thing was huge! The drunk was almost bottomless so I'm sure that could lug around all of the baby gear. I wish he still had his car, I would totally go measure the backseat for you. LOL!
