I do read what others say to make sure I'm not repeating others or if I can elaborate on other's views of a topic.

Only when they catch my eye. If it's personal no I wouldn't continue reading (which most are) but if it's like an image with text it's hard not to notice it. ~Joey

Dear tolyme Yes while responding to the discussion I do read what other people have said about that discussion only if I have time otherwise I just simply right what I have to say about the discussion irrespection of the other posts .. though I know it's a wise thing to read other members post on that discussion .. but if there is lack of time then I can't do that.. Well happy mylotting to you my dear friend

It depends on how many responses there are. If there aren't very many, I will read some of them. It also depends on the topic. Sometimes someone says the exact same thing you do or maybe you can respond to something they said.

I read some comments on the front page of the topic. As you said if there are too many responses it is not possible to read all those. But there are some discussions where you are forced to give the same answers when they ask you "this or that" type questions.
