Years ago my husband went to England for business trip for a couples days. After home, he noticed that there were 3 thousands pounds had been spent with a betting company that he never did. He contacted his bank and reported the case. Fortunately the said amount was returned after the fully investigation. Have you ever experienced your card being stolen?

Yes, our credit card number was stolen last year. Thankfully we've always been careful with checking our online balance every day so we immediately noticed the fraudulent transaction. It was just a small amount, but our bank told us that the thieves usually start with a small amount just to check if we'll notice, if we don't then they start doing larger amounts. They used our cc information to buy a domain from a hosting company, but then I contacted the company (after getting in touch with our bank to start the investigation and the police to report the theft) they admitted that the charge had been fraudulent, but that they could only refund us if I gave them our credit card number through an email! Needless to say I told them to get lost and that they certainly would hear from our bank and the police! We got our money back, of course and had to get a new credit card.

Fortunately you were vigilant and spot the fraudulent transaction right away so that the issue sorted.

Yes, actually I have had the numbers to my card stoled. Fortunately it was 'beginners' card I had had since I had started building credit years ago. Only several hundered US dollars we charged for time on Ultima Online. I did receive a credit for all the charges and they issued me a new card. It did take a week or so to complete the investigation and all the transactions.

Thanks for sharing your view. I think how to stop cards stolen and fraud becomes a big and serious issue.
