I'mmmm Back - Missed All my Friends

Ok, have a ton of things to do - mainly make some money, hate it when that happens but want to update my friends and anyone else on what is going on. #1 Finished the e-book I was working on and submitted it, no payment yet so praying that will come soon or I will be doing no more work for that company. #2 As much as I hate moving I have done it but not at all where or how I had expected. I am now living in the loft of my ex-husband - I'm still not adjusted to the whole idea but have my own private living area, bedroom, and bath. We're sharing kitchen. My daughter and 2 grandchildren are also living here - their own apartment with 3 bedrooms in the basement... Cheap, cheap rent though, near the grandkids, and a nice house in the country. #3 My son, 16, who is in all kinds of trouble with the law right now was all for the move until the 3rd day of the move when he decided he wasn't staying here and took off. We did hear from him the next day but only briefly and he expected us to pack and move his stuff while he went skateboarding. That didn't happen and have not heard from him since. I've reported him as a runaway and not sleeping worrying about where he is and what he's doing but there comes a time when they just have to make their own mistakes and live with the consiquences. Doesn't stop 'mom' from being concerned, no matter what I'll always love and care for him but I can only do so much. #4 I am in great need of making some money and before the move signed up with some programs to get paid for posting on my blog. If anyone has experience with any of these programs I would love to know which ones and as much information as possible. Guess that's it for now, I will be around more regularly now - added benifit of moving here - no more slow dial-up connection - the old lady is rockin and rollin on highspeed.

I'm so glad you're back and that you finished the book. I'm sure you'll get your pay soon. I'm also happy that you're able to be close to your grandchildren and all. You have to do what has to be done for now and He will take care of it all. The Lord will look after your boy and he will learn (sometimes it has to be the 'hard way') but you're right when you say that he has to learn from his own mistakes. He'll come back to you and I'll keep you all in my prayers. I haven't been around site for quite some time but hope to be more soon. God Bless. Oh...about the letter your friend sent you - if some of it's in Italian as I gathered it is from what you replied to her comment, there's a page where you can translate it...just pick the language, type in the words and hit translate - http://babelfish.altavista.com/

We're going to ISU (Illinois State University) on the 16th of this month. He will compete in tennis throw and 100M. I get to be his coach this time since his other two coaches from school won't be able to go. I'm so excited! Mark is going to take the video as I coach...

Hey I haven't had time to read discussions for the last week - what's going on with CJ and the olympics? I feel so out of touch - what's schedualed for the summer? I think I forgot. Thank you so very much for the prayers - I know that is all that is keeping me going right now. As for the 'letter' yes, she sent me a letter - hand written on pretty stationary with a wax seal and all - very old fashioned and 'romantic'. She's Italian and I actually asked her to write in her native language and then translate for me, which she did. It's beautiful and a treasure I'll keep always - now I need to find some stationary to write her in my horrid chicken scratch, my handwriting is horrid :) It's fun though - a lot art, hand written letters instead of e-mails :)

Oh dear you were the highlight of my past week - yes I did get my letter :) Afraid the wax seal didn't survive - it was in crumples in the envelope but I got the general idea from the color and shape stain on the envelope. I love the Italian version most - even though I can't understand it I just keep reading the words over and over - thinking I will learn somehow. I've been carrying it in my purse since I received it Friday and when I get a little 'edgy' I take it out and just look at the envelope with the 'Italian' postage and all and think how blessed I am to have such a dear friend on the other side of the world.

oh thanks for giving me such good news before I went to bed...I am so happy you received my letter..I am ready to write you more and more..I am sorry for the seal...unfortunately modern mail service doesn't take good care of our mails like they did in the past..but I am trying again..maybe next time you will get the entire seal..thanks for giving me a good thing to think about ..I am going to bed in a few minutes..so I wish you a good day or night according to the time there...

I was worried about the seal also but figure it's the thought that counts - modern technology and ancient traditions seldom mess together.

I just keep praying that my son will turn his life around before it's too late. I'm going through major adjustments being in the same house with the one person in the world I dislike most of all but... it will benifit both of us right now and hopefully I'll be able to save money for a place of my own in time. Paying half the rent it would have cost me any place else now just need to pick up more work to keep super busy and still fit in 'kid' time.

Highspeed! WoooHoooo!! I love it too! I am glad to see that you are done with your e-book. Congratulations. I too will pray your payment comes quick. It must be great living out in the country and close to your daughter and grandkids. I must be wonderful for your daughter to have you close. (My mother lived two hours away)I am sorry to hear your son is going through his hard years. I remember being that age and was pretty bad. I praise God for bringing me out. Unfortunately, there are consequences to everything we do wrong in life. God gave moms the gift of forgiveness and understanding. I will pray that God gives you the strength and patience that you need and that God will open his eyes and bring your son home. GOD BLESS YOU, JESUS LOVES YOU, AND MAY THE HOLY SPIRIT LEAD YOU!!!!!! Thank you so very much for your prayers - they are the greatest sorce of strength and power. This is my youngest son of 4 children and I have shed so many tears for each of them over the years sometimes I feel like I can't possibly have another tear left in me but they still come.

Hi faith,I was thinking of you yesterday as i was on mylot, just wondering what you have been up to..Well as far as your move ,that doesn't sound so bad,at least you are around the grandchildren, and the rent is cheap. That is great about your e-book and i am hoping with you that you will get paid.I am sorry to hear about your son though.I have a son that got in trouble like that at 15 and he has been a lot of worry to me,its true we can only do so much ,but yes we worry ..Sounds like you have been busy busy, but everything seems to have worked out ok,except of course for your son...Just pray that he will be safe, that is about all you can do.I am glad you are back because you have been missed...I was really glad to see you were back.

I have really missed my friends here on mylot and it's good to be back. I'm physically exhausted but ready to get busy doing some serious writing and in my 'loft' I feel like I'm either looking down on the world or up at the stars - 4 skylights up here :)

Thanks for the update, Faith. It is good to know that you are doing well and surrounded by people who love you. I'm sure you are loving the easy access to your grandkids. So sorry to hear about your son. Sometimes all a mom can do is pray. It is good to see you smiling face on here again. Best wishes getting settled in and adjusting to new living set up.

Prayers are what keep me going and I know what will bring my son around and keep him safe. I so hate moving and this time made the decision that I am getting rid of a lot of 'stuff' I'm sick of moving things I seldom use. I still have a lot of 'settling' to do but am right now in my comfy recliner, on my computer, with TV, bible, and a few pictures around me so I'm good to go. Now if I could just get water in my water bed I'd be fine :) Oh yea and find the rest of my cloths :)

Well, its good to see you back. I think it would feel real ackward living in the same house with the ex, but you have to do what you have to do. I bet its nice to be near the grandkids. I hope your son is okay, I remember way back when I was 16. I was always doing those kinds of things to, hes probably staying at a friends house somewhere. Congrats on finishing your ebook, hope that your payments come soon. Be careful, once you get used to high speed, you'll never want to go back to dial-up. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Take care, Terry

Yes it is very very ackward but am going to make the most of it and just keep thinking it's only temporary until I can save up down payment for a place of my own - that renting stuff is the pits - loved the house but when they sell it out from under you all your money is gone and you have nothing to show for your hard work. Thank you for your prayers Terry - it's prayers that is keeping me going and will get me through all of this.

Glad your back faith, missed you much. I have failed the last few days to pray for my mylot friends. I'm very guilty of this and I'm sorry but I will lift you up in prayer as soon as I finish this Post. Prayer is so important, but I have times where it is hard for me to pray. But I'm not giving up. The Bible says to be faithful in Him and He care for our children. He promises that He will keep them and save them. We just have to keep lifting them up and put them in Gods hands. Well that is not word for word but the meaning is the same. Hope things go well for you at your exes house. May God keep you and bless you.

Thank you dear - I am familar with the scriptures you referred but also not sure on the exact words. We are so very blessed to have a Father who loves us the way God does each of us. I very much appreciate any prayers and understand fully well that there are times when not everyone 'gets around to it' I'm guilty of that myself - but I keep on praying for my children always.

Hello faith, "waving" Glad to see you here again. You certainly have worked out a lot during your absences. First, I pray that you will get your payment from the e-book you wrote. Secondly, I'm happy to know that you were able to locate a place to stay with your family and best of all, the rent is cheaper. Thirdly, I'm sorry to hear about your son. He is in an age where he thought he is old enough to understand things. I hope he will have the sense to realize his mistakes early. I hope everything will be sorted in the end. Lastly, I can't help you there, LOL. I'm really poor with this blog thingy. I'm sure a lot of posters here were able to provide you more helpful hints.

LOL - I'd almost forgotten about the last part of my discussion - it's just so good to be back with my friends, catching up on what's been going on while I was gone. I have missed you all so dearly. Deep into 'arranging' today - trying to get somewhat unpacked, the things I use regularly and 'decorating' my new space. I've moved a million times over the years and never feels like home until I have my special things laying about. LOL woke this morning and there was a bit of a fog outside looking out the windows from the loft overlooking the fog I actually thought our friend the Wizard had locked me in a tower of his castle :) Funny thing was it was just about the time he was responding to my discussion here but I wasn't online yet.

I'm glad to see you back byfaithonly!! We missed you here--I'm going to keep you in my heart and prayers as it sounds you still have a full plate to deal with--are you still hoping to find a place of your own though eventually?? And I'll pray that your son will come home soon...he's no doubt in a somewhat rebellious mood due to the move...but he'll come back...Keep us posted --okay??

Thank you, I have missed being here but just couldn't with everything else going on. I do still need those prayers but feel there are going to be some good things coming my way eventually. Sad thing about my son is he was here nearly 2 weeks before me and was doing fine - he for some reason thought he was going to live here and me live some place else. Right now I'm the wicked witch of the west and it doesn't matter what I do he's going to hate me for it - but he could be looking at time locked up and right now he's not making the situation any better for himself.

Hi faith, like a flower i the spring i am just starting to flourish as a newbie here in my lot...I admire your multi task capability...Hmmnn I am seeing how mine are too these days...As for your struggles, God will not give you anything beyond your capacity...He have a reason, and for now, you gotta do what you ought to do... I am sorry to hear about your son, like the parable of the prodigal son, be patient he'll come back to you and learn the hard lessons of life...Mothers as we all are, we don't forget our children, and they will surely know we always have an open arms to forgive their mistakes. Goodluck to you and welcome back! And best wishes for your new creation, e-book!

So I know what you are going through. May God Bless You Abundantly.

LOL - actually getting ready to go to bed shortly so may not reply again till morning but here's my tips for myLot. Best way to make friends is just to respond with good responses. When you start getting friends on your 'friends list' do your best to respond to their discussions. Don't figure your going to make a lot of money here unless you get lots of referrals - right now I have 1 and they haven't earned me anything. I'm a writer so myLot is a challenge for me - I write like I talk, share my life with others, and work on my writing techniques when coming up with good responses to discussion. Hope that helps some - it doesn't happen over night, or at least didn't for me but there are some really great people here.

I'm glad you're back and doing better. You've been in my thoughts. I'm sorry to hear about your son, but you're right they have to make their own mistakes and hopefully learn from them. We just have to hope they know we're always here for them, even if it's only for emotional support.

I went through that with my son too, he did go stay with his dad for a little while and got the same little attention he did before, he gets even less now, especially since he's re-married. He'll be 19 in October, but it still hurts him and his 22 year old sister for that matter, that he's shut them out of his life. If only some (I know they aren't all like this-I don't want to get screamed at for making a general statement, that's why it says some)father's knew how they were tearing their kids up inside, it's a shame, and no matter how much love a mother gives her children they still need their dad's love too.

I think that's one of the most difficult things with my son - I am here for him in any way possible but he continually pushes me away - he's screaming for attention but doesn't want it from 'Mom', he really want's his father's attention who pays no attention at all to him except to pay child support - I'm thankful for that but would gladly give it up if he would spend an hour a week with our son.

Faith! Welcome back and a big hug to you. You sound to be in good spirits in spite of all the turmnoil. Your ex's house must be huge. How long since you've been apart? I sure hope you get paid soon and decently too. As for your son, I truly hope he is safe and ok. I don't know how you find the time to do all the things you do. I'd love to earn more money on-line but I don't have a clue how to go about it, I join sites (or look at them) that people recommend but when I get there I'm lost. I'm glad you're back and pleased we'll be seeing more of you.

I mainly for the last 8 months have been earning from writing as a ghost writer for a company - they send me the topic and I research and write the articles or e-books. I've done 5 e-books now but they are getting slower and slower with my pay so yes, I am looking for some other ways to earn money.
