Have you ever join any contest?

I never join any contest in national scale or even local scale. I'm not a 'public' person. I don't have the courage to stand on a stage in front of the public perform singing or acting, etc. Or to be the outstanding one in a competition.
These days many talent search contest with many young people competing to be the winner or the 'idol'. They are so confident with their talent. It's good though.
Sometimes I wish I could be that brave to join such contest at least for something that I'm good at.
Do you ever join any contest? Did you win the contest?

Well I have been involved in so many contest before but majority of those contests were academic (not really public or for showbiz purposes). When I was still in my basic education classes, I have been sent to many academic competitions for journalism, mathematics and public speaking and I could say I have won some of those. My biggest competition was the Philippine Statistics Quiz - a nationwide statistics contest in the Philippines where I placed 6th in the national level.
Now I am involved in an international competition and that is the mylot banner contest. Right here!! LOL

I don't think I've ever really joined any contests other than maybe a spelling bee in grade school. I wouldn't mind though, not that I am that talented, but I do actually like public speaking and it's a good feeling when you know you have the full attention of the crowd!
