the speed will depend on the processor and memory ram, I would like more a laptop for the mobility but they are more expensive than a desktop for the size of the internal parts.

I really like my laptop, but desktops are usually cheaper. And you can usually get better performance for a desktop at a cheaper price. Laptops are very convenient though. I would probably get a laptop if i had to buy a new one.

I prefer laptop over the desktop. My main reason here is because laptop is portable. I can bring it anywhere. I can open my laptop anytime anywhere. If I want to review some notes when I'm in bed then I just open my laptop and do what I need to do. For the speed it varies what type of model you are going to buy.

I think it the speed depends on the parts of the cpu and not just if its a desktop or laptop.. The main difference is that desktop computers are not that portable and handy like that of laptops. ;)

A traditional "desktop" computer, which sits atop a desk in your office or home, and a "laptop" computer, also called a "notebook" computer, which can perch on your lap and is not much bigger than a notebook you might tote around with you on the way to a meeting or class. Laptops are completely portable, and they use less power and make less noise than desktop models. But, they're often a little slower and have less graphics and sound processing power, although these differences can be too small for most users to notice. Laptops are also more expensive than desktops. The price gap is closing, though laptop prices are falling faster than desktop prices. Laptops are also less ergonomic. I have both and if ever i feel tired and need to relax while i am using the i would prefer a laptop. But if the work that i have to do is a serious one that need lots of concentration; then i would prefer to sit and work on the desktop!!!

i think that both desktop and laptop are good, but laptop is a little more expensive, so i think that if you don't need to work on the computer on the go then desktop is better and is more faster and it is also easier to upgrade than laptops.

a desktop Is clearly faster than a laptop... and cheaper to... yes sure it depends also on the configuration of the laptop and of the desktop, but at the same price a desktop is way more faster than a laptop;)... So a Desktop;)

I prefer desktop computers. Laptop is easier to move from place to place but desktop c. is my love! You should try both and then decide which one is better for you!
