do you believe in "TIT FOR TAT"??

i do believe..in fact if am slapped once i return it twice..coz i blieve in eye 4 eye, tooth 4 tooth, blood 4 blood..
but som of my friends tell me its simply bad 2 be like tht..
what are your views?

no, I do not believe the system of "an eye for an eye" is very efficacious.
where does it end? I mean you pop someone's eye out because he popped yours out - but then since you popped his out he will return the favor to you again and pop out your other one, so now you must seek revenge and pop out his remaining eye, only you are blind and can not find it - so instead you end up cutting off his finger, so then he cuts off your finger and on and on and on - now you have no fingers left to retaliate anyhow - what a vicious cycle.
vengence is Mine sayeth the Lord. I reckon we should let Him deal with our enemies in the way that HE sees fit.
