Yes - we are not sure how Buca hurt this ligament but he is a labrador and they are silly - happy- yet clumsy breed, but we are hoping he remains okay and doesn't hurt it again.

Hi friend........ sorry I missed your earlier discussion about poor Buca - I've been absent from MyLot for the past few days playing "corporate hostess" at one of my beloved's infinitely boring business events............ ugh! Hate every minute of them! Anyway - sorry he's been unwell, and glad he's feeling better now. Perhaps he can come and join Lily and they can convalesce together!

I am so glad that Buca is doing better. Hopefully he will recover on his own and not need surgery. I would have no idea what to do if the vet ever told me that I had to keep one of my dogs resting.lol.

I am thankful- I am just hopign it doesn't happen again cause if it does it may make it worse. He is such a silly - happy - bouncy dog- he is always spraining something. Believe me this past week driven us nuts- 6 more days to freedom...lol

That is super news about Buca- I'm so glad that he got better on his own without surgery- You will have fun trying to keep him calm and not running all around for the next week- But you do not want him to overdo it and become lame again! I bet he thinks he is still being punished! Poor pup!

yes he does----between the bouncing moments- he has been kind of blah...he lays there and when you say to him what do you want he looks at the front door as if to say I want to go for a walk mommy. My husband has strict order to take it easy on him next week

Wonderful news. Does he still have to go back to the vet or is everything OK now?

I may not take him to the vet- I think we will ease him back into his daily walking slowly and see what happens. I'm sure the vet wants to see him but if he is no longer limping then why should I pay more money for him to tell me he is fine.

I'm glad he does. I've read your post about him and what the vet said, I'm glad he's better now. $ 2000 is a lot of money, I surely can't afford that, I hope nothing will happen to my cat.

it mostly happens to large dogs- because of the weight on their legs. I guess it was just pulled and not torn, thankfully - however that doesn't neccessarily mean he is out of the woods yet- my Buca is very active and has hurt himself before- usually his front shoulder (twice last year) and he dislocates his tail sometimes. He is full of energy- you would have never known that as a puppy - he slept a lot.
