Do you feel out of place at times here on mylot?

June 12, 2007 1:26pm CST
I honestly have to say I do. Sometimes I feel like I'm at home and other times I feel out of place but I'm not really sure why. My friends here those who share and give so much to this site do quickly bring me out of this, I guess it's just settling back in and picking up a routine. Do you feel out of place at times here on mylot? ~Joey

I guess with time you pass up on that. I do not really feel that way anymore. Just give it few more months and that will change.

Lydia have you been hit by down raters? I thought you star was much higher. (I hate this star system) I have felt like this before and It passed but it seems to be leaking in a lot more right now but hopefully when the swing comes back so does the happier feeling. Thanks for your response! ~Joey

I am so used to that and it doesn't bother me anymore. I was at a 9 star when this thing started but it went down countless of times and I have been at 7 star for as long as I remember. I guess it isn't a big deal to me anymore.

heya joey! yes, i have to admit that i do feel outta place on here but its not as bad here as some other similar sites...i was feeling kinda old lol even though there are a lot of people from different areas, i usually find enough to make my 10 or 20 posts on here each day...the odd occassion there is nothing of interest to me, but that doesnt happen too often thankfully... smiles

it's the same here. I joined a site when I was 15 and I still remain their although I'm still nowhere and nobody talks to me or responds to what I say. (which is fine, I just don't get why) I probably should focus more on replying to what friends have to say (like I am now) but I just can't do it sometimes.. Glad to hear it's not to often :) I really appreciate this response, as I did think that I might of been a little out numbered with those who don't feel like this. Kudos! ~Joey

I don't feel out of place in mylot. I just log in and post discussions and answer discussions. What can friends of mylot do except answering your questions. Would they really solve your problems like your real friends. It is just working convenience here with friends.

Actually they can and possible have. I'm not sure what circle or friends you have (except I) although I no a lot of those here care more than those who I have called friends. Also I think of most them as real friends especially those who I regularly respond to. I know most of them would be behind me if I had trouble or needed someone to talk to which is again more than most of friends in the real world. Working? Most I know are here for there friends and not the money.. Not everything is about that my friend... ~Joey

I have no idea why you feel out of place her too Joey, this is something you may need to work on, it just doesn't make sense, you like my lot there is no reason to feel out of place.

You know I don't get either. I now have some guesses, but it's something I am working on since I noticed I find it hard to do certain things. (which I didn't before) Mylots a wonderful site and yeah I love it but at times I do feel out of place. (which is different compared to liking a site) Kudos, ~Joey =)

No, not really out of place so much as out of sync, perhaps. Sometimes I just cannot get into this at all. And many of the topics are beyond me because I have no knowledge of them or I don't understand them or it would take me an hour or more to explain my views. When I check out the new discussions, I see many topics that I have already seen or answered and feel like not going through the trouble to answer them again. Maybe that is being lazy, or maybe I am losing interest.

Sometimes I do, but I don't really know why I feel that way. It is probably me just being silly.

That could very well be the same as me! It's nice to see you superchook. You photos brining back memories of my son! (cute how they fall asleep in those isn't it?) Waves** ~Joey

I have not felt out of place since I first joined myLot. When I first signed up I felt out of place all the time for the first month or so. I was a bit nervous creating topics at first because of not knowing if people would be interested in my topics or communicating with me. But now I feel very comfortable on here and have made some wonderful friends and enjoy discussing different subjects with everyone. Now I feel like we are like one big family here on myLot. :-)

Hello Joey. Feeling out of place is not really what I felt but unmotivated. Granted that mylot seems hush hush at the moment, I'm just not in my best element right now. I took the whole day off and upon logging in, your thread is the first one I pick to respond. I will randomly select my friend's discussions through my emails for an hour or two, then maybe log off and sleep.

You shouldnt feel out of place, you seem to always have something intelligent to add. Everyone is welcome on mylot. I did at times feel out of place, but I got over it as I realized my opinions, and feelings are just as important as anyone else's on here. You should feel the same way! =)

Sure... like now? Lol... I flip through discussion after discussion and I just cannot answer any of them. I think there must be something wrong with me. When I am not interested in topic a or b or c? And sometimes, I thought I might have missed some big headlines - it's like why is everyone suddenly posting about topic z out of the blues?
