Well unfortunately, my family found out yesterday that my dad does have Cancer. We will treat this as a minor bump in the road and definitely be there for him whenever he needs us. I know my family will get through this and I ask that you keep us in your prayers because it will definitely not be easy. Thank you! As for the weight loss competition, I didn't really do to bad yesterday because as you can imagine my appetite wasn't really there, but I did eat. I didn't exercise but that is all going to change today. I plan on going walking after work and get back into a routine. My birthday is Friday and my parents said they will get me an exercise bike so I can read and ride at the same time. I'll be getting in shape before you know it, so watch out!! :) How is everyone else doing? Our next weigh-in will be in two days so hopefully those scales tell us some good news! Have you been exercising, if so, what have you been doing?? I love to walk and thats the one exercise I do more than anything. It allows me to clear my head and think of great ideas for stories or articles. So if you are having difficulties in the exercise area, I suggest walking! Good luck!!

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. You and your family wil be in my thoughts. As far as weight loss for me, I think I did a major screw up yesterday and already today. I guess I will try to be careful tonight and tomorrow and hope for the best. I still have not gotten on the Gazelle that I keep saying I am going to. Oh well, I have to get out for some shopping in a bit so at least i'll get a walk in today. I'll make sure to park as far away from the door as I can so I get a longer walk in. Good Luck to all for the rest of this week.

I appreciate your concern. My dad has a positive attitude and I feel that that is the most important thing in treatment! We'll get through this! He says he wants to see me get married and I don't plan on getting married anytime soon, so he's got awhile to go! :) Its okay that you screwed up. I didn't do too well with my food intake today either but I plan on going walking for a couple hours when I get home tonight. As long as I don't gain any weight I'll be happy! I park the furthest away as possible also. Just remember to park close to cars though because you don't want to be walking alone at night to a car that is by itself in the dark!

I am so glad to hear your dad has a positive attitude, that will help him greatly on the long road ahead. Do you know what stage it is? Is there a good chance at recovery? I never go to the store after dark, something about all the creeps I have seen hanging about lol. But I do park near cars just to be on the safe side.

We will find out what stage it is and all the details on Monday when he goes to visit the oncologist.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Your family is in my prayers. I did do very good yesterday. I am not a big exerciser, but I have been going for a walk every night~ about 1 1/2 miles up and down our hill. I ate nothing after dinner:) Today is another story....we made fathers day gifts with my daycare and put some peanut m&m's in a jar for them....guess who had to have some m's!

Oh man peanut m&m's are the best. Just remember to get back on track right away. Just because you didn't eat as well as you should have doesn't mean the whole day is shot! Take it one step at a time. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. It will be a long tough ride ahead, but we'll get through it. With advances these days, its amazing what kind of things they can do!

I have been out of mylot for about a week and a half and I feel lost, especially without posting on this daily post. I did pretty good last week, but then the weekend came and i just fell apart. I wasn't feeling well, and I just couldn't handle doing the right thing. But I'm back on track now and hopefully it didn't hurt too much.

My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Yesterday was not a good day for me. I gave into the "eat when I'm feeling stressed" monster putting me over my usually daily intake by about 500 calories, but that was yesterday and today is another day. I love to walk and that along with a new found pleasure in bike riding are my main means of exercise. I'm off for a walk to the library with my daughter to pick up the first season of LOST just to see what all the hype is about. Have a great day!
