Saying thanks and show appreciation to Mylot members

I just had a great idea, well actually I've been doing it for a while now. What I do and what I think is a great way to show appreciation to someone for answering your post(s), is to respond to one of theirs. In fact, I prefer answering someone's post, moreso than to leaving comments. Answering a topic has more benefits than does posting comments I believe. Is answering a topic, a better way to say thank you - than actually saying "thank-you?" Can anyone see the benefits of answering members posts/topics, as opposed to replying to everyone that has answered your posts? If you don't like my idea, what other ideas besides leaving comments do you think are good for showing appreciation?

yeah. I like to reply other discussion, especially my friends'. and i'll comment any response to my discussion. I think i have to thank them for their response by commenting their response, and it is a good polite. huh.

I agree it is polite. I was thinking though that time can be better spent doing something more productive and beneficial. For example, instead of my typing this response, I could be answering one of your posts/topics right now - of course I'm going to anyway - I just thought that would be more appreciated by than getting a response. I could be wrong though since some ppl do care if they get follow up responses or not. Hey, thanks for the reply and as usual, I am not going to answer one of yours.....

I didn't mean to hit that best response button, although it was a good answer....anyway, this is the reason mylot should remove the best response....you were the first and first come first serve, lol, thanks again for the response.

You need to get busy posting some topics...the only topic that you have started, I answered that two weeks ago.....I will keep a watchful eye for some topics/postings from you....

That's a great idea...it's a reciprocal relationship. You respond to my discussion, I respond to yours. It's a great way of expressing our gratitude to fellow mylot members. We can't really do much here except that we just have to follow our friends' discussions and respond to them. In my opinion, that's the best way of saying thank you. Hope I'd see you more often here...cheers!

I'm glad other great minds are thinking the same thing...besides, returning a favor is a better use of our time here I think. Thanks for responding and thanks for the kind sentiments. I look forward reading some of your posts. Take care.

Hi inallduetime. That's what I am doing too. I answer all the people who answer my discussions whether they are on my friends list or not. I do think that is the best way to thank them. In the beginning I was just commenting, but as I had some experience on mylot, this idea came to me by itself. And I also like the idea because this way I don't have a problem going though a list of discussions and try to figure out who to answer. Sometimes I don't even find discussions that are of interest to me and some other times they are few months old lol but I do answer because that's my way of saying thank you. So I agree with you inallduetime. Answering is the best way to say thank you. And by the way, I am here because you answered one of my discussions the other day but didn't have the time to thank you until now. Good luck inallduetime.
