Do you like thunderstorms/rainstorms?

I love watching the lightning and hearing the rain fall on the roof. I also love the smell of the air outside right after a thunderstorm.

Thanx for your response! I've never been camping during the rain, but I have been at someone's house who had a metal roof and it's really cool to hear the rain on that as well.

I love them!!!! I live in Califronia now (originally from IL) and these storms out here are weak!

No. :( They're really pithy. Had a good one the other week though - went on all night and there were like three of them! Never had that down here before! I was up all night watching and listening to it - even blew out the electrics for the whole town. Coooooooooooool.

It seems like we used to get bigger ones when I was younger, but we still get a few good ones from time to time. Where abouts are you at? I'm in Michigan.

I love rainstorms. Thunderstorms are nice if someones is with me. I get afraid if all of the lights and stuff go out and I am all alone. I also like the smell of the rain, wet grass, etc. I like a good rainstorm around 8pm, right before bed; I seem to sleep better.

I'm with you all the way. I absolutely love watching the lightening flash and the thunder roll. The smell is fantastically clean, and there is nothing better than standing out under the open sky watching it all happen.

Nothing can quite duplicate that smell. I've looked at the Yankee candles that are supposed to have the after a storm smell, but it just doesn't compare. It's always been one of my dreams when I get a house to have a big skylight in one of the rooms so I can watch storms. Thanx for your response!

Have you ever heard thunder or seen lightning in the winter time? I have once, a few years ago. I was so wierd yet cool at the same time.

I like watching the lightening. I have a couple dogs that are afraid of the thunder. I have a couple who run back and forth from the window to the back door barking at it wanting to get it.

when im at the cottage i love hearing the rain on tin roof otherwise i also like thunderstorms but not in the wild

I LOVE thunderstorms! I love to watch the lightning, but like someone else said, the thunderstorms here in California are weak... and rare!

I love listening and watching storms. It's very relaxing. My kids are afraid of them, and cuddle up with me.

Thanx for the respnse. I used to be afriad of them when I was younger and my mom would always tell me that it was just the angels bowling.
