Have you ever tried to combine your journaling and scrapbooking? It works so great. I write in my journal (on computer) everyday of my life. I write down details both good and bad about what happened that day. I have many pictures from long ago that weren't labeled. I go through my journals and search for the place that we camped, the activity that we were attending or the birthday that we were celebrating and...just like magic there is a written story about that particular day in my life. I print out the page in the journal and incorporated it into my scrapbook page...therefore those who look at the page know exactly who was there, where we were and the exact date.

Sounds like you have it together for scrapbooking! Journaling does help refresh the memory too. What fun!

It seems like I can't remember what I did a week ago and journaling sure refreshes your mind when you look at pictures...many little things are forgotten and usually journaling will spark some memories.

Writing has always been my escape goat for relieving stress and letting go of my emotions..Although I haven written in a long time... I feel like it took a burden off of me when I needed someone to listen to me and didnt know exactly what to say or how to say it right. Scrapbooking, I found to be way to expensive and I didnt find the joy in it as much as writing was to me. I always wanted to be an author. Just writing itself sets me free.
