Help for a myLot community member in problems

Dear mylotters, some hours ago I was attracted by a post from babyangie27, who asked for advice how to keep faith in a very difficult situation she faces. With her permission I repeat it here: her husband lost his job a while ago. They face eviction within 2 weeks and her little daughter (4), needs medical help buth their legal demand for SSI hasn't been decided yet. I myself don't live in the United States, but perhaps there is somebody in this great community who has legal knowledge or does know by experience, how to help babyangie27 or would like to help personally. In this site, there gather a lot of people everyday in order to share thoughts and opinions, perhaps they can also achieve some realtime effect and help this young mother and her family. I wish this discussion could produce a real effect, this would be extraordinary! Thank you all so much for paying attention and may God bless you all!

I would advise them to also check out charity organizations. I would think with a child involved there may be one that would put a little higher priority on the case, unless there is already a backlog. Right off the top of my head I would say Salvation Army, probably the Red Cross. Is it a serious medical condition? St Jude's Children Hospital comes to mind, and I think the Shriners have one as well. Was either parent in the armed forces at one time? That would be another option. I was homeless for a time myself, and it is no picnic. Fortunately I had my family at the time. I could not imagine facing such an ordeal alone.

So sorry for this woman. But as some other people who want to help, I´m rather far away and only can give my prayer support. Hopefully others are in better position to give care for her and join. God wants us to show our love for him through the active love we have for people. Blessings to all who help.

You feel the same as I, a sentiment of being powerless because of the distance, lack of means, lack of knowledge. But cases like this one show us that we must intervene where we can, in our own surroundings, and must not be indifferent. Thanks to everybody!

I trully feel for babyangie27 and I will add her to my daily prayers. I wish that there was a way that I could help her and her family! I live in the middle of the pacific ocean, but her story has managed to cross boundaries and touch my heart. I wish her the best of luck and I hope they can get through this difficult time.

I just wanted to say that you are a terrific person!!!! I read your post and routed myself to babyangie27s post and gave her any suggestion i could think of. I live in the US but in a different state then her so i dont know how much help i may be in the long run. But i wanted to let you know that if the world had more people like you in it, it would be a better place. God Bless

I am very sorry to hear this. I am very far away and nothing I can do to help her. But I do hope she will always be strong and may God bless her and the family. Hopefully someone out there will come forward and try to do something to help her sort out her problem. It's really terrible and hard to face those problems especially when she has a daughter who needs help and extra attention. Whatever may comes to you, babyangie27... stay strong and believe in God. He will definitely help you to go through this. My prayers will always be with you! Love and hug for your little daughter. Let her know that there are so many people are concerned about her though we don't know her physically.

You are a very kind and caring person. I wish Babieangie much success in getting help. There are churches of many denominations in the little town where she lives. There is also a Rotary Club, usually they help if approached and in particular where children with medical problems are concerned. It is also my understanding that in the US anyone who needs it can get medical help even if they cannot pay. I hope and pray one of the churches or the county social services will help out with the rent so this little family does not get evicted. Babyangie should keep knocking at all doors and not give up hope.

I don't live in the same state as Angie but there are resources in each state to help. I will keep her in her little girl in my prayers. Sometimes things are rough but the Lord will support and help you find an answer.

i too will be praying for this family. i am sure that God has a great plan involved. by all means you have to make some noise to child health services or whatever your local welfare office is. a state will not deny child protection. good luck babyangie, and keep the Faith. He won't let you down!
