Blood transfusion from a close relative is riskier

Its a danger that most of us are not even aware of in india . Every time there is an urgent need for blood .we first look for volunteers at home . But did you know that blood transfusion from a relative is far more dangerous than that from an unknown donor . It can even lead to death in many cases.

Direct transfusion I believe is dangerous but if it's an emergency trying to save the life of the other, there's no alternative but to give the blood right away. But if the necessary examinations are done before the transfusion, I don't think it's riskier to have the blood transfusion from a relative than from unknown sources.

wow that's scary... I didn't know that... It seems like a real deal. since now, like most of people, I believed that everything from a close relative could be good, I mean transfusion and all other medical stuff... This is one thing I learned today... thank you man:)
