Do you participate in events or donate time or money to a specific charity on a yearly or regular basis? We all lead very busy lives and it seems the more involved we get the more opportunities to "donate" there are. You can get asked at work to donate to childrens events and fund raisers. You get asked to run, or walk for causes... etc etc. You get my drift. Do you have a favorite that you try to support? I try to take care of the Grandkids and their sports fund raisers. As far as causes... I contribute to the Muscular Dysthrophy association. I had a cousin that died from the disease that I spent a lot of time with growing up. Whats the one that is near and dear to your heart?

I don't know if these are considered charities or not, but they are what I donate to each year. One is the local sheriff's department. Donations received by them go to buy the stuffed teddy bears that the officers carry in the trunks of their vehicles for the children that are involved in bad situations. The officers give the teddy bears to the kids to comfort them and hopefully bring them a smile. The other organization that I donate to is the local fire department. They use donations for the training equipment so that they can properly train new recruits as well as the volunteers.

Yes, my favourite charity is the Surf Life Savers here in Australia, and I always give to them on a regular basis. The main reason being is that my youngest son and I were caught in a rip a few years ago, and had to be rescued by them. I will be eternally grateful to these guys and gals - especially as most of them are volunteers.

Hi, I donate to one organization called "God's Love We Deliver" they prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses who are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves.
