This is the way we wash the dishes

wash the dishes, wash the dishes.....*singing* When you wash your dishes, do you prefer to use a washrag or a sponge, or something else? I much prefer a cotton cloth than a sponge, I feel I can manipulate it easier. my little girl has crocheted me a few out of cotton that hold up so wonderfully and always launder well. I also like those very thin green scrubber pads for the stubborn spots.

I use the dishrags that can be bought at most 'mart' stores. For pots/pans I have and scrubber that I love. It has bristles on the bottom and those are attached to a container that holds dishliquid. The very top is rounded and fits in the palm of your hand. It has a center button that can be pushed to release some liquid. I love that thing!

I use a sponge that has a cloth side and then like net mesh side on the other for scrubbing it squises down to almost nothing and it is easy to get into diffecult places to clean. I also really love the Dawn Direct foam that is out now and it works great for quick cleaning, with little water use.

I agree about the direct foam. I have a back stock of it in the refill bottles. it works so well. it must be that smidgen of bleach that they added to it.

I use a "Curly Girl" that's a metal scrubber that is fine aluminium all scrunched up, a plastic scrubber for my non-stick stuff, a brush, a sponge, and a dish mop, all this while wearing elegant pink gloves. I had a crocheted cloth but it finally broke a thread and unravelled. I'm not a great crocheter but I s'pose I could have a go when I have some spare time (that means never...lol).

I have a basket under the sink for all my cleaning gear and products live in there as well along with my bucket fore compost scraps The mop airs and dries over the taps, the brush hangs on a hook inside the cupboard door, the other stuff gets plonked on the dish drainer and if that gets put away it goes on top of the vege stacker in the next cupboard, but it mainly sits on the sink.

there is a variety out there of things we use whenever we will be washing the dishes. until now, we are doing the washing by hand. there is a cotton cloth, a fiber cloth which we bought from the grocery store, there are some sponge and we also have a scubber which is made of plastic cloth. it really depends upon the washer as to which one will he prefer to use at any point. i am curious about that crocheted one which your daughter made for you. that is one which i have never ever thought of having.

Sometimes I do sing while doing the dishes. I rather use a sponge to wash the dishes and I do sometimes use the dishwasher if I have so many dishes.

I wash as many things in the dishwasher as I can. For things that don't fit, or some plastics, I use a Dobie pad and a dish cloth.

i have a metal scrubbie thing and then one of the green sponge scrubbies too. i do use a re-washable dish cloth to dry. when i moved back home to take care of my mom,she was using paper towels for each dish.i can't imagine how much that must have cost after awhile..

my mother n law did her dishes with paper towels, viva I think was her brand that she never strayed from.. I was very surprised though when they were visiting to find out that she used the paper towels to dry off after her bath as well!

Good morning friend! I generally put them into my dish washer...ok, call me lazy, but with the twins...it just makes more sense to do a big load all at one time! When I do have a stray dish or two, I use a washrag! Before long, I will have my little ones start doing the dishes!

In the house,i am the cook and the dishwasher. I also like to use that very thin rough scrub when washing the dishes. I feel that all the dirts will washed away when i'm using that.

At home, we usually use the yellow sponge that has a thin green scrubber pad on one side. We have been using this for years, and it works perfectly fine for us.
