I just hate when people are late and I have to stand around waiting for them. My mom always thought be that beeing on time is very important so usually I am on place 5-10 minutes before even, wich usually results in me waiting for the people I am supposed to meet for about 20-30 minutes. I do not understand why it is so hard for people to be on time??? My brother and his girlfriends are experts at beeing late. They will never ever be on time and this is so annoying, to the state where I actually tell them to be there at 6, and dont even bother to be there before 6.30 myself. So, are u a person who is always on time or are u a person that would annoy me :-)?

I try to be on time, though since having kids I find it harder to do so. So if you knew me in person you'd probably hate me. LOL Just remember, I don't do it on purpose. :) The last time I met my mom for lunch I wasn't actually late. She had told me a day or 2 before to meet her for lunch at our usual restaurant around 2:30 or 3:00. While I was getting ready I called my mom at 1:50 to see when she would be leaving. Imagine my surprise when she told me she was already at the restaurant! I just about ran out the door with my 6 year old in tow and drove to meet her. It takes about 30 minutes to get there, though I probably did it in 20! And no, I didn't speed LOL, I just got lucky with the stoplights being green. :) When I got there I asked my mom why didn't she call beforehand to let me know she was on her way (it also takes her 30 minutes from the opposite direction to get to this restaurant) and do you know what her answer was??? "I forgot." LOL She doesn't usually forget this so we both laughed it off and had a nice visit, even if it was short.

Well thank you Marie, I appreciate that. :) I shouldn't have said "hate me"...bad choice of words. LOL I should have said that you would be upset with me for being late. It is rare, especially since my kids are older now. I don't like being late for anything (whether for school, an appointment, get-togethers, or what not) and I have gotten upset with myself when this happens. I drive myself crazy from it sometimes! LOL

As much as possible, I aim to be in time. Failing which, I will be on time. I don't like people who are late too - especially when there is no legitimate reason at all. These people are being very inconsiderate - by assuming that their time is precious, but not the others'.

Well I have to be where I am going at least 20 minutes early. Now my husband on the other hand...time is such a nuisance to him, lol. He can't be on time if his life depended on it. I think it's a good thing I was the one responsible for giving birth to our kids, if he was they both would have said their first words during the birth, LOL.

I am always early. But I have a friend that is always late.I used to wait and wait and wait. Then one day I told her we had to be somewhere by 1:00.When really we had to be there at 2:00.So she came at 1:30.Then she had to wait for me.I still do this to her once in a whlie to keep her on her toes.Seems when she is ready and has to wait for me it really bothers her.

I understand how you feel. It really annoys me when people are late. Some of my family members and friends made a habit of being late. They think it is cool to be late. How annoying. I cannot remember how many times I had arguments with them. I am the one who organise things around here if they are continuously late I make sure next time I will not include them in whatever we are supposed to do. It usually works

i value time a lot marie. i hate peole to wait for me and so, i hate it when i find myself waiting for them. just like you, i am minutes early on a scheduled appointment. and i find it so annoying when people just don't care to be there on time. there are even times when i waited for them and 30 minutes or one hours after, they text me saying they can't come due to some circumstances. i always tell my friends i hate it when they make me wait. and still they don't care at all... anne

People being late is probably the biggest pet peeve that I have, especially if they do not call or let me know somehow that they will be late. I can understand if something comes up as long as they call or text message me and let me know they are running late. I usually go to the movies by myself since my friends are always late and I do not like walking into the movies late. I am always on time and am usually at least a half hour early. I think it is rude to be late and not tell the person you are going to be late, especially if it is more than a few minutes.

I think it's rude to be late often. Once or twice is tolerable for me. Late for me is 5 minutes and up. If someone I know is always late, I would think that he's arrogant and doesn't value and respect me. I myself hate being late. From the time I started working, I was late once and it was like 1 minute. Everyone knows me for being punctual.

I am most always on time give or take a few minuts. I also hate to wait for people. I can be so annoying and it is very inconsiderate of others to make some one wait for them My brother is also notorious for being late. It has gotten to the point at family gatherings (for example Christmas or Thanksgiving) we tell him dinner will be at noon when actually it is at 2:00. This way he gets there before the dinner is ready instead of us trying to keep it warm until he gets there. LOL!

I always do my utmost to be on time - after all it's a commitment to another person, and a way of showing respect for them. To constantly turn up late it to contantly break commitments, which eventually leads to uncertainty and stress in the person who keeps doing this. My commitment is my word and part of me. Only if a real emergency comes up will I be late for a meeting with someone. But I would do all in my power to let them know if I'm going to be late. There is no need for it in my opinion :-)

I agree totally I hate it its the biggest grump I have. My husband is really bad for it and now We tell something begins half an hour earlier and we will still be half an hour late. He is hopeless. I am a five minutes early person myself and this is a constant tug a war here.

I'm always on time, I dont like people wait for me. i feel bad whenever it happens. Im ashamed. But i also hate late. In our country we are know as the most very late. hehe.. we called it Filipino time. if you say filipino time it means if the call time is 6:00, they will meet at 8:00 or late more. even if you say 6:00 sharp.. they wouldnt bother.. hehe.. but if you say American time. if 6:00 then it will be 6:00..

yup. being on time just shows how responsible people are. punctuality is one good trait we need to have. time wasted is time gone. we can't get it back and do something good about it. it's already lost. so, when setting appointments, people should be there on time... anne

People who are always late is really annoying. My ex was late for everything. After awhile, I started lying to him telling him a program was going to start 30 mins earlier so we can be on time. I am one of those people who likes to be at my appointment 5 mins early, and stress if I am late so someone being late is very frustrating.

This is me. I can not stand when people are late. i do see it as a sort of behaviour that people reflect when they do not think of you seriously or honor you. I also think that people that are late on regular basis, do have a certain personalitty that i do not feel comfortable being with. i always had that, and beside one good friend, that tries very hard, and i do know that it is a problem, all people that know me, know that they are not going be late, when it comes to meeting me. Lol. ;)

I strive to be on time. I always have 15 minutes allowance. If I am late, it is often delayed by the bus I took. However, there are instances where I will definitely be late if the appointment time is an hour after my knock off time. This is inevitable as I do not want to change the appointed time just because of me alone, especially when most of my friends are able to be there way before me.

I prefer to be 5 to 10 minutes early to meet up with someone. Like you I don't like people who are late. It usually disrupts my paln for the day. Sometimes if I meet up with people with a late reputation I still come in early.

One of the things I really hate the most is waiting on someone... Some people don't care but I think those who do are actually the once who come to appointments on time.
