My last transaction with e-gold was last week after a friend told me that mylot no longer accepts the service of e-gold and instead use moneybookers. I remembered the use of Ikobo last year then suddenly changed to e-gold as payment processor. Its like we are in the dark side of the Earth again. Without someone to guide us on how will we encash our money from moneybookers. I'm sorry guys as I can't even provide atleast a little info about moneybookers for us Filipinos, unlike what I did before about e-gold and the fact was really frustrating. I just hope we can get on with this and some informative person will post how does this moneybooker really works. We have to begin again from scratch for now and all we have to do is wait for someone who will able to get their earnings from moneybookers. Oh well, I just hope that e-gold fix their problem soon as I'm going to miss PGX service too :(

Moneybookers looks like it works like paypal. All you need is an email address. You can shop online with it (and it is accepts a lot of places_, you can transfer it into your bank account or you can get a debit card and spend it at stores in your area. All you need to do is sign up. Check out there FAQ

I know that e-gold is terminated from myLot and moneybookers has been added as a paying resource and I am pretty happy by it! You know what? Moneybooker is easy to use! And the plus point we have from moneybooker is this that moneybooker is accepted many places on internet! I want to buy an hosting but it only allows paypal and moneybookers as a paying resource. Moneybooker is pretty good and it gives us so much fun it's not unlike e-gold which is not acceptable anywhere! I am very happy by using it! Have a good day! Happy earnings!

I think their fee is so high comparing to paypal when we withdrawing.
It has bank account to be added, and also credit /debit card. you can shop online from your account.

Hi certified_alice, I think it's just best to move on and welcome this new option for us Filipinos. Looking at the bright side, it's good that we can still get or earnings from mylot because moneybookers is available in the country. I'm still happy that I can continue with mylot even if e-gold has been eliminated as a payment option. I'm sure mylot only has every party's best interest in mind. Imagine if thousands of Filipino members will be affected when e-gold encounters difficulty in releasing from their account, maybe half of them will point their fingers at mylot and demand their money. This is foreseeable and mylot only wants to prevent problems in the future.

hi there certified_alice! Me too. I am so sad about that. I just received my first earnings here in mylot thru e-gold and now its the end of it. I will problematize on how to get the money again. I need to learn more again before getting the money. I am still a minor and minors are not allowed in moneybookers so heck what's my choice? I need to wait for October to have an account there. For the meantime, all I can do is wait. *sigh*

i have retrieved my five dollars from egold yesterday and they will transfer it to my bank account today, i am so happy,i was able to open my egold account through a proxy server.now there's no money left in my egold account and i will close the transaction there.i have signed up in moneybookers, and i hope it will work well for us.

Do you happen to know if BPI has a swift code? BPI express teller supposedly can be used internationally. So perhaps it has a swift code.
If not, can someone post the Philippine banks that deals with moneybookers?

Yes! It was sad without e-gold since it is easy to use and most of the paying sites are paying thru e-gold. Now, it took me a hard time finding sites that will pay me thru moneybookers. But, I guess moneybookers is much safer than e-gold. well, goodluck to us guys.

I like to use e-gold, but now I can't even open it. I have to use paypal to receive money from mylot, but I can't withdraw money from any bank in my country, becasue there is no American banks in my country. So I have to find somone to exchange dollars to RMB. It is boring.

I find it hard to access e-gold too when mylot transferred my earnings there. I have to use another PC using dial-up connection because of IP address or the server does not allow an access to it, that kind of thing in order for me to access the e-gold site and immediately transfer my gold to PGX (our local e-gold exchanger).

I don't know why mylot stopped using egold but if I had to guess it's because of all the problems that e gold has had in the past. I've never liked e gold and never knew anyone who was happy with them.

Did you ever experienced transacting with e-gold? I am happy with their service though I only use e-gold as a medium of being paid. I understand mylot's action about it as its for the safety of its members.

well, i think all e-gold users will sad when knowing that mylot didn't use e-gold any longer. including me, i am the e-gold users, because i can't use paypal account in my country. but know, i am trying to use moneybookers as my processor here. hope i can make some money from here

i know how you feel certified_alice..
i was expecting my first payout via e-gold. but i could not reach the minimum payout yet *just a few more cents away*, then they cancelled e-gold and replaced it with moneybookers.
it's really frustrating for us filipinos, because we have no idea how we can transfer the money we earned from mylot to PESO.. lol..
i hope we can try and learn the ins and out of moneybookers, so as to aide us in our transactions..
