Ed & Elaine Brown win day in court. Judge orders cease & desist as of 6/15/07

Ok, here's the deal. Ed & Elaine Browne had been convicted of tax evasion for refusing to pay federal income taxes until they were shown the law that states that they are required to. In short, no law was shown to them, and they refused to be taken into custody. There has been a standoff going on surrounding their home for the past 2 weeks or so. There dog-walker was shot at and tazered...it has been a big mess. I just received a copy of the cease and desist order stating that "there is no Statute at Large creating a specific liability for income taxes imposed by subtitle A of the Internal Revenue Code ('IRC')." Attorney General, Paul Andrew Mitchell, so ordered on June 15, 2007 that 'The alleged “liability' was fabricated by the Internal Revenue Service, but there is no corresponding Act of Congress creating that specific liability for any income taxes imposed by IRC subtitle A." ummm...I think that means that the IRS and Federal Reserve are guilty of racketeering.... Attorney General Mitchell states in this order to U.S. Marshall, Stephen Monier, that "the Browns were never “indicted” by a lawfully convened federal grand jury, and they were never 'convicted' by a lawfully convened federal trial jury. Both panels of federal citizens were not lawfully convened federal juries, in the first instance." Read it for yourself, the document is below, and within it are linked its credentials. http://www.supremelaw.org/cc/brown2/cease.desist.htm

Well I am no lawyer but this is definitely not an order by a judge. This is a private letter from a citizen (not a lawyer himself) who is basically issuing a threat of legal action against the IRS if they don't allow the Browns to do whatever they want. I checked their case and I'd have to guess that the order will hold as much water as their legal defense does...none. There have been dozens of these kinds of cases over the last couple of decades, they have yet to succeed.

I realized after posting that I was mistaken about the judge part. How is this man an attorney general if he is not a lawyer? Where would I go to check the case the way you did? One case that I know of so far did succeed because the man got a real jury trial like he legally deserved. The jury asked to see the law, and when they were refused, they found Mr. Harrell not guilty because one cannot break a law that does not exist. That kind of tends to make me think that maybe the Browns were unjustly convicted by a court that was not within its jurisdiction. Could be wrong though, just trying to sort it all out. You can go to findlaw.com to read about court cases and much - much more. I love cases such as this, the citizen will win one round, then the govt. will win a round. In the end, the govt. always wins, except for in extreme cases. Cases such as this has reached the highest levels - district courts, state supreme courts, even the supreme court....you can research similar cases by going to findlaw. com, when you have some extra time on your hands....

Yay! There's a guy that's been help'n them..supporting them a little in their house so that they won't get surrounded again. I forget his name, but he's a great guy. If a judge does order the IRS to quit their jerk behavior I'll throw a little party lol. And blog about it..EVRRYWHERE..so that everybody else can see, they can;t be gotten for not paying taxes..^_^ I hope they win, they've been at odds with the government for awhile over this.

Yep, that would be Reno--he's a real hero, no matter what happens up there. The Navy cranked out one with balls enough to stand for the oath he took to fight all tyranny both foreign and domestic. Imagine that. Got myspace? Here's Reno's latest blog entry from yesterday: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=170785320&blogID=277466498&Mytoken=FE3B895C-E639-44F5-85842FF80F5DAF1D63602149 I'm trying to have faith that this standoff won't end like Ruby Ridge. I mean, the man told the judge that he would pay the money right then and there if they would just show him the friggin' law. This whole thing is waking sheeple far and wide, regardless of the almost no-media coverage. My Reno be forever blessed for taking up for the Browns--and ultimately all of us too, in a way. ...another interruption, never fails. At least something positive is trying to rear it's head up from all the muck, lol. Ciao4now.

It does make you wonder why this story isn't being carried on the national news each night, doesn't it? More power to the Browns and those helping them. Our government has lost its mind.

My theory on the reason why the national news isn't giving the real issues much airtime (if at all) is the fact the the 4 main media corporations have all been bought out by Rupert Murdoch. When one person has the power to control knowledge and news that the people have a right to see and hear, there is a big problem. The Brown's are up there making a stand for all American citizens and the news is giving us the latest gossip in Hollywood. Thanks for stopping by, Claudia, your input is much appreciated.

Wow, somone that can stand up against the government. I am very impressed but I don't think that they will win this war. They will have to give up eventually.

I'm hoping that for once that justice will prevail rather than the old elitist adage "he who has the gold makes the rules." One can hope...but you're probably right, the feds will probably win this one eventually, but at least the Brown's have the courage to stand up for what they believe is right. Thanks for stopping by, Lydia :D

That's really weird that my comment didn't take...hmmmm... anyway, like I tried to say before, the hubs was commenting a little while ago that the Brown's should be considered our modern day forefather and mother, lol.
