Do you believe in the Creation theory or the Evolution theory?

I was just wondering people's thoughts on this. Do you lean towards the Creation theory or Evolution theory?

Script you might find this a bit straddling the fence so to speak, but I believe that both theory's have a place. I do believe in God as the creator of our universe and the creatures upon the earth. But the creation stories of the old testament are vague at best. I do think that science and religion can go hand in hand. I do not believe that we have a full handle on how God created the world and its living animals. Darwin's theory of evolution, has many holes in it also. He was not a man of God, but he was a scientist and most of the evidence can not be disputed despite what creationists would have us believe. I believe evolution had a hand in how our world has developed, but with saying that I also believe then that was Gods plan. Does that make any sense?

It does make some amount of sense *laughs* People are either said to be a man of science or a man of faith. I'm a little like you. I believe the stories of the bible and in Jesus, but not necessarily as him being the son of God. I believe in evolution but I also believe in spirituality and the existance of higher powers. It's a huge topic and a very personal one. And at the end of the day it is about personal beliefs. I have no issue with someone who believes in evolution or creation or nothing at all for that matter!

I believe, undoubtedly, in evolution. It's not even a question for me, or for just about anyone I've ever met before. I suppose in very conservative areas of the world (possibly the Christian south?), creationism is still considered a possibility; but I know I've completely dismissed it. I believe much more in science, which has evidence of the remnants and continuing impacts of the Big Bang explosion, than in the Christian perception of creation; after all, Christianity is but one religion, but science is universal.

I strongly believe in the evolutionary theory. It has volumes of evidence to back it up along with the consensus of numerous scientists. I don't understand how creationism, can become a theory based the beliefs of a religion. What if one doesn't believe in that religion? What happens then? Do they have the right to believe in creationism? I just don't see how it can be plausible when there is so much scientific evidence to back up evolution as well as creationism being based out of a short passage from the bible (which has been translated, and mistranslated 1000s of times!)

I believe whole heartedly in the Theory of Evolution. I actually find it disturbing that creationism is taught to my children in school. It is the system here, and it has sparked many an explanation from me at the end of the school day.

I believe in both creation and evolution theory. I don't consider them exclusive of each other. I believe in an intelligent creator but I don't deny the physical evidence of evolution and natural selection.

i believe in Evolution theory. its scientific and believable (with no offence meant to others). Theory of natural selection of Darwin is a great science in itself! recently i read The God Delusion by richard dawkins and it only confirmed my belief and gave reasons to unanswered stuffs. thanx for a nice discussion.
