My Lot helps a 14 year old Student!

I started a discussion about the benefits of My Lot a week or so ago. Now I have a second reason to highlight the postive side of My Lot.
A week or so ago, a My Lotter, who is on my friends list, started a discussion on robots. He provided a link. I read the article & responded to the discussion.
As it transpires, my 14 year old daughter is doing a project on robots. I remembered this discussion & thought it applicable to my daughters project.
So I searched for the discussion, found it, & tried the link again & couldn't get it to work.
I PMed my friend, & asked if he could provide me with the link again.
He did so very quickly.
This is great. I am about to give the link to my daughter. I am sure it is very useless for her school project..
Now, doesn't that show how beneficial My Lot can be? People helping one another & learning fronm one another. And this been passed on to a 14 year old student.
Keep it up all your great My Lotters.

That was a wonderful experience.
The internet really is a treasure trove of ideas and information but unless you know where to look for it will overwhelm you until you lose valuable time looking. It's good there are places like mylot where the help you will get will be personal and steer to the right direction..

Mylot can indeed be a good place to found out things. If the negative minus button pushers would just relax we could do alot of good. Just a shame that this site as it is will never be the good it could be. Too much goes wrong and in the instances when we succeed the light is brought. Doesn't stay but it is good while it lasts.

I agree that MyLot can be helpful. The way this site use to be set up, it was all people looking for help, not general discussion as it is now.

Good discussion here. I honestly believe this Site can be an inspiration and help to anyone if we let it be. I know I have learned a lot here about a lot of things, and in all Truth, there is something here for almost anyone out there. You just need to know what to look for.
But that is Good to hear that your Friend was able to help with your 14 yr. old daughters School project. This is why I will always continue to say I Love myLot, and am still very Glad to be a member here.

yes, i agree with you... mylot is a great forum and we really can help one another here... it is great that we can make new friends from the other part of the world and help one another... that's why i love to be here and find that mylot is the best forum that i had joined so far...

Ohhhh sheesh. Here's another discussion about me. But one thing I did notice, you stayed within the guidelines. It states not to mention members names in the dont's somewhere. But I wish to thank you also for proving that any discussion can and does benefit someone,. sometime, somewhere along the lines. This is a great site as I always felt it was. You and your daughter are both very welcome. Dang I just thought of something. Now this is possibly going to make me even more popular? Yikes! Even more friends requests coming in? Hahahaha. Thanks again.

It is great how we can all help each other out. Mylot is a community of people that come together for different reasons. I enjoy interacting with so many people. Glad that you are one of them!

I believe myLot is beneficial to many on here, I know it has helped me with computer problems and issues, I have seen others get support for family or relationship issues, suggestions ideas for birthday, parties and other family functions. As myLot grows in members I am sure we will start to see some interesting topics in the future.

Thats great and I have always though that mylot was the best place when it comes to research on something. There really is a huge amount of information here and glad it could help your daughter...

Yes, there is much to be learned on myLot! I personally have learned how to keep algae growth down in my birdbath, how to clean a plastic shower curtain,how to make a delicious dip for fruit, a chicken dish that my family loves, how to ....the list goes on and on! There is much to be learned here if one tries. Sadly, many just want to post and post to earn the money, never getting much out of the boards except a few cents!

it is truly amazing, the benefits of joining myLot is not really on it's way of helping people financially but of helping one another intellectually.. Giving our opinions can be of great help and having friends through this site is good. I love to be a part of Mylot!

i feel the adduction of this place is primarily because of the friends we make herein. i have some wonderful friends here who would make me happy no matter what. they would send PM, email and would elevated my self esteem like no one ever could!! i ma glad that the link will help you child do the project better. i am sure she will do a great job.

Thats why i love Internet and Mylot :) because i can access it due to Internet on mylot yeah people tries to help each other but some people are only here for money so i think to get help on some topic one can easily get :)
