When it comes to plastic food storage containers, is Tupperware still the number one choice in your kitchen? Are there new brands? Do you use cheaper no brand containers? I have so many Tupperware containers for fridge and freezer but they are all a couple of years old. They are in good condition but I wonder what and which brand to buy next.

Don't buy any other brand but just stick to tupperware. In my opinion they are the best. Especially the Modular Mate, FreezerMate and One Touch range. So useful.I have tried the Lock and Lock series. Bought the long container which has a grid for veges. Was not good. So I invested in the Tupperware FridgeSmart range. And true to the moto " Fresh just got smarter"

Yeah true, the Lock & Lock was not air tight & the vege became soggy as there was water inside from the condensation / vapour thingy. Go figure out, it's a science thingy, hahaha

Tupperware still exist in my mums cabinet and fridge. We're still using them but not all plastic wares we have at home are from them (Tupperware brand). There are a lot of more cheaper and brandless plastic containers out there in the market that are of good quality too and can also last longer. Not that easy to break and as I've mentioned much cheaper than branded ones. ;)

Rubbermaid is just as good as Tupperware, and a bit more resonable. I use everything. The Tupperware and rubbermaid last forever.

Out of all my containers that I have purchased over the years, my Tupperware containers hold up the best. The cheapos I have purchased seem not to withstand the test of time.

I have tupperware as well as cheaper ones that are comparatively good. I feel comfortable with both. So far no problem I have found.

Not for me lol. Tupperware isn't really that cheap, you know? We have some Tupperware wares lying here and there but we have "fake" Tupperware thingies too lol. We just use whatever we can find.

I stopped buying the expensive Tupperware long ago! I use rubbermaid for a lot of my storage containers. I have also started using the disposable ones, but I don' dispose of them! Ha! I actually have a lot of glass containers that I use too, as they do not discolor and look so nasty!

Our local Chinese take aways use plastic containers that I re-use. I don't know of any other famous brands that would be worldwide, there are lots of companies who sell kitchen ware through brochures they put through your door they all sell there own version of tupperware.

I used to have a lot of Tupperware but then it got old and discoloured so I got rid of it. Now I buy Glad disposable containers. For disposables they are quite sturdy - come in many sizes and shapes and the lids snap on very tightly. They are not too expensive and can be re-used. They can be put in the microwave so I use them a lot for leftovers. I don't mind so bad when they are ready to be thrown out because I didn't spend a fortune getting them.

Tupperware is still very prominent now a days, but I prefer to use glass for food storage things... I has a longer life span (if you don't break it) and does not discolour and become ugly in looks...

We use snaptight or screwlid containers. There are some things we don't need supertight containers to save things. I'm not sure what type of containers they are though.
