Making anything interesting this weekend?

Since Father's Day was upon us, our family gathered those that could attend and had a wonderful meal. We had CopperRiver King Salmon grilled to perfection, fresh scallops carmelized and so delicious, and absolutely fork tender and juicy grilled Rib-eye steaks. To go along with these delightful entrees we added a wonderful fresh green salad with spinach and spring greens, walnuts, cranberries, gold peppers, snap sugar peas,orange segments, cucumbers and the sweetest cherry tomatoes..topped with a homemade orange based dressing. The bread was fresh baked from our favorite bakery that am and was an olive oil olive bread...so yummy...along with some goat cheese and fresh mozzarella balls, homemade dill pickles and a variety of olives...then to top it off we served a hot homemade apple pie with real whipped cream....Needless to say, all were full and content at the end of the meal...and the company was awesome....next week end it's your turn!!!LOL

My sister and her husband came for supper, they are having to gut their house after the flood. I made ham and beans, cornbread, pasta salad, and a cherry chip cake. I could not go help them, because I was taking care of our mother today while they did the work on their house, so I offered to cook them a meal. It was nice to have them over, my sister is the one who has all the holiday meals at her house.

Beef and noodles. We need something that is not too heavy on this toasty day. We a bit of bread on the side it will fill us up and be not something that will heat up the kitchen very much. I hope you get some rest and have a great week this week.

I did the same. I had company from another state who used to live around here and they wanted to visit their favorite places to eat as well as seeing their old friends. I do however have company coming on Tuesday and overnite until wed. evening. I have planned a simple menu of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with cheese melted on top and cinnamon rolls for breakfast on wed. and chicken sald on croissants for the lunch on wed. tues night we are eating out!
