Why do americans diss canada and canadians?

How many Americans make fun of Canada and Canadians? You are posing a very general question that has no answer. I am sure there are some Americans who make fun of Canadians and there are some Canadians who make fun of Americans. I am Canadian and have met many Americans and visited in the USA many times and no one has ever made fun of me or Canada. In fact I have only heard nice and complementary comments.

Some people tend to tease others but it is just part of the jokes. Canadians also like making fun of Americans :-)

That is too bad that you feel this way. I am an American and have many friends from Canada. I love going to Canada~although with the new passport law in effect, I can't take my children this year until I get them the passports:(

That's kinda like asking why do people in Colorado diss people in Arkansas? Every area of the world will produce something for people to laugh at or get mad about, even making fun of accents. I personally have nothing against Canada, but I like the way they talk haha! I live in the southern US, people make fun of my accent all the time. Fact of life! As far as politics go with Canada, I'm pretty clueless!
