have you tried going out on a blind date?

Yikes, I have not dared for such an arrangement. I dont have enough strength to be in such a situation. its ok when its just a set up blind date but I have not even tried the same before. Though it may sound exciting but I have not been there before and I dont have plans to go on asuch a date?
How about you mylotters have you been on a blind date?

I have had friends set me up with people before blindly, but I usually get a picture or at least am introduced to them through the phone and have a chance to get to know someone either personally through conversation or know who I am going on a date with.
But there was one time that I was set up on a completely blind date. It wasn't that bad. The girl that I was set up with was very sweet and a good companion. Nothing came of it, really, we weren't compatible, but it was an decent experience.

well at least it was not as what i think about blind dates. At least yours was a good one, the problem with me is that I dont like surprises of these kind and I tend to close my eyes about it and have a negative meanings when it comes to blind dates.

I did go to some blind dates set up by some good friend of mine. It didn't turn out so bad and I even have some very good dates though all of them didn't turned out into something romantic but I had a nice time and found some common interest that we got to go out again with my friends. If the person who set you up is really someone who knows you well and knows your likes and dislikes, then it could be good since they won't set you up with someone whom they know that is not your type or has something that you make not like.

Been there, done that but not ever again. I only went because my friend thought I needed it but I really didn't think so. So, no more blind dates for me at all.

well thats the problem when other people push us to do things for they think its good for us. I was asked once but I didnt gave them the chance to feel make me feel uncomfortable with a stranger.

When I was young blind dates were common. We used to have formal company Dinners, and often a girl/boy would ask her boy/girlfriend if one of his/her friends would accompany one of his/her colleagues to the event.
I went on many blind dates, and many a romance blossemed.

actually it was not a blind date, cause he was my phone pal, and he called me and ask my address and then after 2 hours he suddenly arrived at the house...i was really shocked..though he was handsome but i dont like him cause he was very fresh and arrogant..in short i dont like on a blind date...i wanted to meet the person first before going to a date.
