I can't listen to music while I'm drifting off to sleep or even in full state of sleep. I have such a love for music that I end up wanting to sing along with the song then I can't go/get back to sleep without turning the music off. As a matter of fact, the radio is my alarm clock. Now, the television is a different story. I go into a deep sleep when the television is on the entire time.

No, I don't sleep with music on. It's too distracting. I might fall assleep with music on, but then i could be woken up with sounds later in the night. Somtimes I wouldn't even fall asleep with music on, as I can't help listening to the tune & words. Years ago, I used to listen to relaxation tapes to help me fall aslleeep. These have music, but it's the sort of music that sends one to sleep, not hype me up.

Since middle school. But eversince my baby was born...2 1/2 years ago... the kid will not sleep if it is not quiet, dark and cold. So that kinda changed for me. But yes, music would relax me, and I would fall asleep alot faster.

my wife used to but i told her my doctor did not think this was a good sleep hygenic thing to do. white noise is ok..but music or the TV interferes with your sleep pattern...I have spent four nights in a sleep clinic..and they hooked me up to a lot of wires and could monitor my sleep...rems..etc etc.. sleeping with the radio or tv on is not recommended.
